These bikes aren't too wacky, but I have to wonder why the seller felt they needed to be photographed on the kitchen table and a bed.

https://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/bik...370760023.html

SCHWINN Made in USA - $85 (100 E.Tarpon Ave)

Very nice older Schwinn Champion Edition for sale.
Rides like a new bike.

https://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/bik...370800709.html

SEROTTA Colorado CS1 - $1500 (100 E.Tarpon Ave)

Up for sale my favorite bike.
SEROTTA Colorado CS1.
Made in USA by one of the best manufacturers in the world at the time. Very hard to find one .
I would never sell this bike but I need the money so, make me an offer and own a piece of history.

Well, that one beats this one i found, but still plenty bizarre:
condition: fair
-Good seat and tires
-Ready to ride
-14 speeds currently work -- could have 21 with some adjustment -Has a crunched bar -- see photo. This doesn't seem to affect the operation of the bicycle.

"Vintage Huffy. American made...Not your Huffy of today."

More abuse of the term "Vintage" when what is meant is "obsolete" or "more than 10 years old".

And I'm not seeing a label, but I don't think assembly by a stock boy at Walmart counts as "American made".

And as for "not your Huffy of today," that's really too bad, cause my impression is that today's Huffys are probably a good bit better than they used to be (granted they are still boat anchors assembled with incompetence)

Cannondale bike - EXCELLENT CONDITION! - $50 (mountain view)
< image 1 of 1 >

I bought this bike but only rode it a few times. It's like brand new. I'm selling it because it's a little too big for me and I don't really have the time to do a lot of bike riding. The original price was $500.

Not vintage, but definitely new to me.

Reading the text, it seems like there's an electric motor that turns the treadmill and also motivates the "bicycle"--so your walking does nothing to move you forward! There's a joke there somewhere, but definitely not about genders or changing genders or anything like that.

It Was A Dark And Stormy Bike...

Road bike - $50 (Wilmington)

"Older cycling bike but works great! Come take it for a test ride! 910-410-0484"

https://wilmington.craigslist.org/bi...406311685.html

(Okay the price is right for an '80 entry level "standard tubing", (not even hi-ten), beater bike. I might buy it if the two locks are included along with keys and combination... (Okay, probably not.) But there's only the one photo. And is that underwear "protecting" the top tube from the second lock?)

How Does One Say "No!" In Dinosaurian?

Custom Built SSCX "The Crossasaurus!" - $800 (Winston Salem)

"56" Lemond Poprad Reynolds 853 Steel frame and fork covered in custom opal and green sparkles with '88 Topps Dinosaurs Attacks Stickers and high end clear coat. Wheelset includes white industries hubs (adjustable eccentric rear with Dos Eno 17/19 freewheel) with HED rims and Ritchey Speedmax 32c tires. 39t anodized blue narrow wide chain ring. Dimension crank arms. Ritchey carbon WCS seat post. Selle Italia sl xc test saddle. Anodized blue spacers. Cane creek headset. Bontrager race modified cx bars. Tektro levers and brakes. Kool stop salmon brake pads. Neon Green/yellow jagwire and barrel adjusters. Frame saver was put in as well. This build was created for this cross season and only raced twice."

https://winstonsalem.craigslist.org/...405652288.html

(And they want $800 for this 4'8" drewsome abomination? I'm glad the year of the "Topps Dinosaurs Attack Stickers" was specified. The '89s were so lame. Ugh. I'm sure some stoner thought this was a good idea at the time, and their pricing is reflective of their continued pipe dreaming. If they'd done this to a Billato, or heaven forfend, a DS...)

So, how tall is the seller if that bike is too big for the person?

For $50, it could be converted to a nice kid's Cross bike
