Need a kickstand?

https://seattle.craigslist.org/est/bop/d/kirkland-one-kickstand-or-lot-of/6861180084.html

Pure shiny lightweight aluminum. Kickstand can be cut down to accommodate 700c 26 24 20 or 16 inch wheels. Your choice: the one created by Japanese master craftsmen mastering the process that many consider creates the perfect kickstand, or all-American that's gonna withstand any bike, foreign or domestic.

So he stole it? And admits it. But doesn't want to put up with any low ball offers.

Apparently, he wants to have his cake, eat it too, and have you wipe off his mouth for him, wash the plate, and then light his cigarette.

I'm pretty sure he's saying that at work, the bike was a "steal me" flag. He was afraid to leave it outside his work, so he brought it out into the country. And no one respects a bike outside the city so he doesn't ride it there either.

That looks like a small tire all-road bike. (with slicks?)

I would think it would be perfect for "in the country", except at least around here, there is no open riding across fields. Fences everywhere. Perhaps some logging roads if one gets headed in the right direction.

Otherwise, there are paved roads heading everywhere.

So I messaged this guy. All I asked was why the price was $8750 if the MSRP was $1000 (2011 Cannondale Hooligan 3). His response:

"What do you care ,
You can’t afford it if it was $1000

Go buy a new one ,,

And don’t waste my time , i sold 2 for over $9000
, they when to a prince in SA..
he never ? The price ,

I have 5 left not including the one in pictures,,new in boxs,
These are for people who don’t care what the price is ,
If you got to ask you cannot afford,

Dose that answer your silly ?

Never contact me again, your not a buyer ,
I will report u for harassment, "

Pleasant fellow. A review of his past sales indicates that he never sold any of these. Amazingly, he has 100% positive feedback...I assume none of that was from an English teacher.

At least the $500 cost of shipping is in the ballpark. Gets its own seat on the plane...

How absolutely bizarre. That response is more wacky than the original ad.

And, the ad makes it sound like it is his only bike. He has a pile of them that he thinks are worth more than NOS DeLoreans?

$500 shipping? Is that by bike courier across the USA?

To his credit, he did have it previously listed.

Bicycle cannondale Hoolgen Price: US $18,750.95 Shipping: $500.00

How the heck does he know how much a person can pay, or would pay?

Perhaps a moderately rare bike, but I see 4 of them recently sold on E-Bay for about $600 each. A scratch-free specimin to use as a commuter is certainly worth the extra $18,000!!!

Oddly, most of his other listings are much more "reasonable" in cost, at least looking at the titles (I don't want to open them. )

I just hope he decides to do an end run around E-Bay and sells his entire stock off to some Nigerian Prince (who sent a 3rd party cashiers check for 2x the asking price, keep the change).

For $500 shipping, it should be delivered being ridden by a Kardashian.

$10000 Wooden bike for $1250

If you are a reader of The Bike Snob's blog and his ongoing relationship with the wooden-framed Renovo that he has, you can find out for yourself for $1250 if you're near Buffalo.

I've read that the original price on these was in the $10000 range. The company went out of business last year.

With my luck, it would be an extremely angry Cardassian.

And, with the seller's excellent spelling... who knows which would arrive.

Pretty SWEET!!!

But, everything just clashes with that build.

I wonder if that is a fairly early frame model.

Still, it would be a fun project bike.
