Take your pick, they're all over. Tagline usually reads something about "Mint, in the Box!" "Never Ridden!" "Price will only go up!" "Sure to be worth $$$!"

Tagline should read "Bought this bike strictly so I could place a "mint in the box" ad on Ebay sometime down the road, and make a fortune. Bike has never been ridden because my kid won't ride it as they suck to ride."

In the past 5 years, I think I have seen one of these on the street. Our local co-op left these behind for the scrap dealers when they moved recently. Pacific should have branded these "Edsel" rather than tarnishing the Sting-Ray name. I'd like to know how many collectors went out and bought one of each color every year they were manufactured, and put them away, I could use a laugh.

GregG
I keep finding them at garage sales being sold by people that won them for free somehow and expect to sell them for the original price when it was new.

And 20 years ago you could probably buy a mint Krate for $100 or less? They also weighed a ton, and sucked to ride, though not as bad as an OCC. Don't be surprised if the OCC makes a resurgence 15 or so years from now, with mint ones going for ridiculous prices. The main reason being is that they started rusting if you sneezed less than ten feet from them. I have exactly one. A red with black flames. I didn't see a whole lot of those and still don't. The Squadron model is probably the rarest, and will probably be the most collectable/valuable.,,,,BD

Why the Moots decals? Isn't that like sticking a Rolls Royce eagle on your Yugo? And he's selling it because he bought a stationary bike? Sheesh.

The neighbor behind me has one rotting away, upside-down, in his backyard. You're welcome to ask him about it if you ever come down here, if you don't mind looking straight into the face of his Great Dane

Well i just had a crazy experience.

I bought a set of Sun Rhyno rims last friday, paid immediately and have had no communication from the seller whatsoever.

I sent him a message monday and another yesterday and nada...sooo I got his contact info from ebay and called him up.

A woman answered and it turns out the dude was admitted to the hospital Saturday and has been there since. He's expected to get out today or tomorrow. ya can't fault the guy i guess, but It sure does take the wind out of your argument to get your stuff.

Yes, and I'm grateful for that. But, I just can't get past the horrible powdercoat (to say nothing of the garish components). I don't blame the seller so much, as this is what's in demand these days. He's just giving the people what they want.

Apparently that's a $75 stem!
"This bicycle has $ 75.00 in upgrades to make it comfy for the older discriminatong rider"

As for the Red bike, the powdercoat doesn;t look bad to me, but everything else makes it into Ronald McDonald's Fixie!
