Here's an odd one, a Bianchi with canti brakes but very odd full cable housing and stem shifters with safety levers. Might be a nice bike but needs to be saved.

A derailleur 3-speed bike with two chainrings? Must have only 1 1/2 cogs on the rear. Or maybe it only works in three of the ten possible gear combos? We may never know.

Woman's vintage three speed - $125 (Henrico)

bicycle frame material: other/unknown
bicycle type: road
condition: excellent
frame size: 54
make / manufacturer: Ross
model name / number: 179-1932
wheel size: other/unknown
Gunmetal gray, Gran Tour woman's, will throw in pump and helmet

I don't know the specifics (frame size) that Craig's list asked about bike. It is a woman's three speed and fit a 5 foot 4 inch person

All eleven tubes are Reynolds 531? So I count ten including fork blades and head tube. Is he counting the steerer tube as well?

Soooooo... should I contact this seller and ask about the STEM there and warn them of the imminent danger, or is that like, a super-stem-extender type of thing going on?

While you're at it, tell him about the little button on his camera with a lightning bolt. Means "flash".

Oh, and remind him that when there's a big dark fuzzy entity looming in the top corner of the viewfinder, that's not a tropical storm cloud rolling in, that's his finger.

And ask him who Chrome Molloy is.

actually, that reminds me of some SR mtb chainrings i have from the early 90's of the suntour x-1 era. iow's, i got these rings used, but very lightly. however, they looked to be of very poor care until i realized...it was that 90's "smoke" anodizing that made'em look so bad. hardly any wear on them, otherwise

I see that the listing is gone.

I used to help a guy fix up bikes for those who could not afford to buy one. This guy had one bike where he raised the stem way above the minimum insertion mark, I lowered that stem and told him that the height he'd set it at was a great danger to anyone riding that bike. He raised the stem again and said it needed to be that high. I gathered up my tools and told him I was done with him.

I'm somewhat surprised at how many people will sell a bike that they KNOW is a hazard to use.

Cheers

I'm not surprised by that at all. People are truly apathetic now. Many are simply just misanthropes. Your experience with the person that you were trying to help only solidifies my statement.

So many questions, but maybe some poor soul thinks the world is like a Road Runner cartoon and this is how they're going to get their stolen bike back?

$1500 Walmart bike. Oh...and $250 shipping. I wrote him and he said "THIS particular bike, yellow in color, has been discontinued at Walmart, for a while now. This one is rare." Amazing how he thinks a $200 garbage bike is now worth $1750.

GMC Denali Men's Road Bike Road Series 21 Speed 22 Inch Aluminum Frame Yellow. This Bicycle is immaculate. It should be in the General Motors museum. It’s only been road 1 time. It was hanging in a Gentleman’s Garage for a while. I bought it home and cleaned it up and waxed it. I keep this Bicycle in my Office in my home. They do not make this bicycle anymore. As far as I know, I Googled this Bicycle and all I got out of it was This bicycle is worth the money I’m asking for it, because it not in production anymore. Thanks for looking. It would be great for a collector of Bicycles. Ask me any questions about this item. Thanks Kevin This will be the last time I list this item. If you are interested please send me a decent offer and I consider offers.
