Nice little Bianchi, but note the downtube shifters in addition to the brifters.

Wheel Confused

Schwinn / Raleigh - $50

Posted 2021-06-07 15:56

"One awesome Fixie. This bike is a classic Raleigh with Schwinn S7 wheels. The wheels are from an early 1970 Schwinn bike. The rear wheel is a 3 yellow band 2 speed kickback. When riding the bike one would slightly move the crank backwards and the bike shifts into the opposite gear. One gear is easy to pedal and the other is a little harder. Fun to ride! The bike was red however somebody painted it black.

Wheels will not come with the bike.

bicycle frame material: steel

bicycle type: road

I guess he just wanted everyone to know how awesome the bike would be if it included the part he's not selling?

Probably why the wheels aren't included. They weren't up to his standards.

The Raleigh Chopper scalpers deserve almost as much scorn as the schmucks who label every Schwinn part ever made as "Krate."

Choppers didn't have AG Dynothree rear hubs, far as I know, only GH6 front dynohubs, and "55" doesn't mean "1965."

Seller didn't even put "AG" or "Dynothree" in the title.

Can't fix stupid.

^^^^^ Gotta love the biker-gang security chain locking the bike to a wooden porch post that you could saw through with a Leatherman

Medium Size Bike

Not sure if you measure these from the upholstery to the steering wheel, or from upholstery to curved support bar, but seller says it’s a medium, so..

And only $450! I’d pay 5 if it were a large size bike!

Sold
· Nashbar Road Bike

$175

The terrifying thing is that this sold!

Perhaps the buyer saw that he/she could re-install the cranks and perhaps the front shifter was there but not visible?

Either way: at $175 the buyer is certifiable to me
