I guess for some people this would be tall. I guess you could argue that the fork was straight also.

You Do What You Gotta Do Sometimes?

Rides nicer with the handlebar right way round.

I'm assuming that the description (or at least some of it) is trying to be humorous, but then again this is Florida so...

We've seen this before, but imagine trying to steer a tandem this way.....
https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/b...628784752.html
And once again, if we take the seller at his word, that it hasn't been used, I guess it's not really a surprise to see it assembled at the dealer this way, given that it's a Pacific brand.

In addition to tubes, I suspect this will also need tires soon
Maybe the tubes are OK and seller meant to say tires.

Not too wacky, but I found it amusing. Actually, this looks to be a pretty nice one. We used to make these with a board and a few bricks.

I once bought a cheap plastic bike ramp about those dimensions. I tried it out, came at it hard, it slipped out from under me sideways, and I slammed down hard. Cracked a rib and got pneumonia.

How about an Ultegra 6700 crankset? Don't let the FSA Gossamer graphics fool ya! It's Ultegra, I promise! The tags on the box say so!

It's now listed as a Schwinn, so I guess we can add "C-E-N-T-U-R-I-O-N" as another way to misspell it....

Follis Vintage Lugged Steel Switzerland 10-speed Road Bike Eroica 53cm - $495 (palo alto)
‹image 1 of 24›
The decals are all wrong, and it's almost certainly a repaint, though they did take the time to hand-paint the blue, white and red on the seatstay tops like original.
This bike probably rides real nice! Look at the rapid-taper on the fork blades, these are the ones that are extra small diameter through the generous rake.
The lugs have brass fillets laid over the lugs to make a larger swoopier transition from one tube to the other, a time-consuming step that can't be automated or given to an unskilled worker. Follis had a full range, and some of their slightly cheaper frames used the same lugs but without the extra fillet and finishing; you can see the sharper, smaller-radius transitions typical of formed sheet-metal lugs on those. Most consumers won't notice the difference, so this was only done on the flagship model.
The internal routing through the TT is also very well done. The Nervex Pro crown on mine also has some brass added here and there to let them file it up to a pleasing shape — looks like this bike might have that treatment too.
This would have had Beborex sidepulls for sure, probably sew-ups. The only possibly-original part I see is the 49d crankset. Even the Allvit and Pivo stem are too new for this frame.
Note, if anyone's interested, mine easily takes 650 x 42b tires, with Raid brakes. I know, sacrilege to bastardize such a pedigreed race bike, but I made it into a bike I'll actually ride. I friggin' love it.
