I saw that ad like 10 minutes after it was posted. Had I lived closer I'd probably own that bike! It's a Lotus Super Pro Aero.

Four hours after the posting someone re-listed the bike for $500.00. You know, because four hours is enough time to give it a complete reconditioning and earn the $300.00 mark up.

Yep. Headtube and seattube don't exactly look parallel... 0 bids, so no one is biting on this one (yet).

I tested the theory many times over in carefully controlled experiments using proven scientific methodologies. It is true: if you put a Harley sticker on dog poop someone *will* buy it. The Harley mystique causes all kinds of irrational behaviours to be exhibited by people.

They were pedaling so hard that the BB heated up, melted the grease right out and then even melted the brazing...

My guess is some BMX master was messing around on it and hopping and the BB shell was just not up to that kind of abuse.

looking at the frame design it probably would only take some strong pedaling on a rusty weld..

And not only is it an Pro Aero....it also appears to have a complete Dura Ace AX group on it as well. Which is also uber rare. I've seen just the brake sets go for over $200 on ebay before.
