The ever rare Huffy Aerowind makes another appearance on this thread. This one is only 300$.
https://richmond.craigslist.org/bik/3020535611.html
Pulling the photo, I noticed it is the photobucket account of a well known local scammer. He's sold bountiful bent forks and damaged bikes over the years. He's not advertising as he used to. And his research must have been pretty limited. He missed the parts about "aerodynamic boat anchor" and "turd with wheels".
https://richmond.craigslist.org/bik/3020535611.html
Research the internet, there is quite a lot of information. This was Huffy's first attempt at an upscale, aerodynamic road bike. This pristine example is all original with the exception of fresh tires. Found in a warm basement where it was stored for 32 years. Many more pics available.A unique collectible. Please email with phone # to discuss or view

[h=2]Aluminum/Carbon K2 Razorback Team Mountain Bike - $600 (Phila, PA)[/h]

Date: 2012-05-29, 2:40PM EDT

This bike is up for auction on eBay with a starting price of $400 (and a Buy It Now price of $600), go check it out: https://www.ebay.com/itm/320913074001
K2 Razorback Team Mountain Bike - Size 'LARGE' (approx. 20" from Bottom Bracket to Seat Tube)
Fox Float RL rear frame suspension - Functional but must use fingers to lock-out (as lever is missing)
Rock Shox Dart 2 Suspension Fork - Brand New (approx. 2010 stock)
SRAM X.3 Trigger Shifters with SRAM Derailleurs Front and Rear (3 * 7) - All Brand New
Brand New Continental Speed King tire set
Includes spare WTB Prowler MX Rear and WTB Moto Raptor Front.
It also comes with a single-speed freewheel and a suspension service kit for the rear shock.
https://picasaweb.google.com/ireland...eat=directlink
I bought this off an acquaintance of mine a year or so a go (he had built up the K2 frame for me to start mountain biking and used BMX handle bars in case I took to dirt jump too). I am ashamed to say it but it didn't get any trail use as I had a kid, blew my knee out surfing, and got a full time job. The only issue I am aware of is that the lever on the rear shock is missing; I believe it was removed by the previous owner to fit the remote lock-out kit and simply never put back on when they removed the kit and sold my acquaintance the frame. As an aside, both the fork and frame are disc-brake compatible. Contact me if you have questions. The bike is in Philly but I can ship it anywhere for $100. Good luck bidding.

Can someone find the words to tell me what a "remote lock out kit" is, please ??
Otherwise, I like the idea of just removing stuff that gets in your way.
This may well be the next evolutionary step for the fixed gear guys........very minimalist concept.

Many of us, me included, have poked fun at BBC for their outrageous prices on marginal (at best) bikes. However, I just scanned through their completed Ebay auctions and 3 days ago someone actually paid $1749 for a reproduction Schwinn Pea Picker. Not an original, a repop.

What the christ?
Seller insists bars and saddle are OEM. Got some rant back about how it's all about condition and there's a reason a 65 mustang that had an MSRP of $1500 is worth $50k.

I have money - it's green - email me for more info! I contacted seller and he's pie in the sky...900-1800 per bike. LOL @ Japanese Paramount. There isn't a bike on that list, even assuming good SR, that would net $900 on ebay. Dare to dream.

Other than the very strange BMX bars, an odd, low-end mix of components and a cheap fork, but a nice frame underneath it all. K2's with the pull shock could be built up into nice XC bikes - nowadays, they aren't $600 nice though.

Crusty tires? Check.
Outrageous price? Of course.
RARE VINTAGE SHOGUN WOMEN'S 12 SPEED BICYCLE WITH SHIMANO COMPONENTS - $500
https://kalamazoo.craigslist.org/bik/3056562999.html
FOR SALE: RARE MID 80'S SHOGUN WOMEN'S 12 SPEED BICYCLE IN FANTASTIC CONDITION! This is a rare find for a Shogun Bike in this condition! The paint is like new and it rides and shifts gear like new. The tires still have original tread on it but the side walls have weathered from age. There is a small tear on the corner of the seat and a small ding in the back fender and some minor surface rust on the handle bars. Otherwise it is hard to believe this bike is over 25 years old! Has many Shimano components.

Look French, or Hip, or Lackadaisical. - $50 (St. Louis City)
Date: 2012-06-04, 11:33AM CDT
Not that French and hip and a little under-motivated all go together but rather this bike I have for sale will allow you to chose not only any of the former mentioned adjectives, whilst riding the road in style, but also any other sexy terminology that might fit your moment of elation as you pedal to freedom in this 1980's Huffy 3-Speed.
This bike is brown. Not a lot of Brown bikes out there these days, probably for good reason, however, a dookie Brown 3-Speed Huffy will for sure set you and your personal cycling style apart from the other lamester that went with the default Schwinn blue or white or rusted ass chrome. They be bunk. You be original!
This bike is slow. there is nothing about a old school bike that is meant to be fast. Nope. You are meant to ride this bike slow, on sidewalks and run over folks while you struggle to keep the massive weight of the classic American design balanced and out of potential wrecks.
This is not a bike you will ever pop a wheelie on. Well not unless you are one of those people who does a lot of curls at the gym and in that case I would suggest you might look at purchasing a more appropriate cycle such as a mountain bike from wal-fart so you might shred or rule or own the trails out at Castelwood Park.
No one will steal this bike. Mainly if you own this the only other people you will wanna ride your sexy 3-Speed Huffy are people who might have such a lackadaisical disposition that cutting through your U-Lock would require too much effort to reward ratio and thus, well, you will have this bike forever. (It is also fact that brown bikes actually last the longest.)
This Brown Huffy 3-Speed has a bell that I won at a New Belgium event. Not in Belgium, as in the Ronde van Vlaanderen or the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad bicycle races, but as in beer, which is why perhaps you need a bike, so that you might pedal to a place to partake in a pint or two. (buy local!) The bell is attached, it will come with the bicycle if you purchase it. The bell is loud enough that it will move people out of your way, especially old people that you sneak up behind on the sidewalk, and wait until the last moment to ding ding them so that they might move out of your way, but instead, you run them over, and you and the old person end up crashing into a table outside a restaurant and everyone sees you fall, hard, tear your sundress, or leggings, or even Levis. So really, despite the bell being extremely loud, and working, perhaps stay off sidewalks and instead ride street, not dirty, but safely street, and besides don't you wanna show off your Brown, slow cruising 3-Speed Huffy anyway?
This bike also has mud guards for your puddle riding through convenience. A amply padded seat for your rump to handle the wrecks and effects of cycling. Also your new cycle comes with reflectors so that you might not be ran over by cars, or cops on horses, or cops on bikes riding the wrong way down a one way street.
This bike is a small to medium sized bike, in case you are not familiar with 22 inch frameset pro technical words and jargon. I am 5'9" and ride it. Me lady is 5'4" and has styled it comfortably. And don't forget, the seat and handle bar height adjust to numerous positions to allow you maximum comfort while just working on being unabashedly chill.
That is all for right now. If you have question feel free to contact me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. If you want this Brown Beauty know that we will have to make the transaction in cash, I will not trade a mustang for it, nor a old vacuum.
Thank you,
Chad
Footnote: despite my comment on the weight of the Brown 3-Speed Huffy it is actually a really light bicycle and would be easy enough to carry up three flights of steps, as I and Lady did so in Brooklyn for two years. This bike also runs super smooth for a bike that is so old. Clean and ready to ride.
(22 inch frame, measured from center bottom bracket to top of seat tube.)
Look French, or Hip, or Lackadaisical. - $50 (St. Louis City)

Jack of all trades
So I'm selling my PX-10, on craigslist, I know a big mistake. One response to my ad:
"LOL really ? I just bought a raleigh same year for $40 and is exactly the same bike just dif names. How on earth do you come up with that price and do you actually expect to sell ?"
This, I don't know if the censor will let me say it, is actually so ignorant that he believes that the Raleigh he spent $40 on last year is the exact same thing as the Peugeot PX-10! This sort of idiot makes me cringe whenever I open my email account. Vent over.

There is no name for the sort of short-bus special that induces ANYONE to reply to an ad that they have no intention of buying and telling them they are charging too much...
This guy has it in spades.
