Disassembly and cleaning of every bearing in the bike. Checking and/or polishing cones. Adjusting everything. New cables (and housings?) around. Truing wheels., Maybe new tires and tubes. Replacing or repairing other parts as needed. New chain.

Misleading ad, stupid price (sans pedals even). No, it's not a Traveler. No, it's not even the lowlier World Sport. It's just a plain ol' World with pursuit bars.
[h=2]Schwinn Traveler 10 speed - $250 (Minneapolis, MN) [/h]Schwinn Traveler 10 speed
Do NOT miss out on this vintage Schwinn World Traveler! (I'm 5 '11, 165 pounds and the frame fits me perfect)
Fire-engine Red frame
10 speed
Bontrager Race Lite, Puncture resistant tires (size 27 x 1 1/4)
NEW Kona saddle
NEW Origin-8 bullhorn handlebars (I have original drop bars too, for free)
(being sold without the pedals, but new pedals can be purchased for $20)

smart.of course this is when you could go into Bi-Mart at 13 years old, grab a cask of gunpowder, cannon fuse, some pipes and fittings, and the cashier would just ring you up and and ask if you needed any gasoline.

If his major tune-up is anything like mine, then $35 would be a BARGAIN.

What's a 'bring' or a s'switch setting'? I want my brakes to work not 'break'.

True.
There are a few smart individuals who don't verbally express themselves very well. But, yes, a mechanic should know the basic parts and tools they're working with.
I'd expect a basic tuneup to include adjusting Brakes, Brake Levers, Shift Levers, Derailleurs, and etc. Check cones for tightness. A lot will also depend on the bike. Hard to do much derailleur adjustment on a fixie.

Interesting ad. 3 pictures, two are the same and the third is a slightly better angle, but cuts off the RD and back. Seller says its too small yet the seat is slammed as low as possible. Says its a single speed yet it is clearly geared.

I was thinking 50$ seems a quite too high for this wonderful bike. So 40$ and a bottle of Patron will do it.

It's the fact that the ad doesn't make sense in some areas and the spelling is terrible. I wonder if this person is anywhere near as good as they sa6y they are? Look at this part: "Minor bicycle tune up for 20 dollars, major is 35 dollars.

I think the language is probably just due to English being a second language, which is more likely than not in Scarborough. I'm thinking he just has a little garage operation going on. I think he also posts some cheap, low-end used bikes now and then.

Post: Faggin road-racing large vintage road bike
hademade in Italy (no pictures, no price)
Question: Hi, What's the story on your Faggin? Not much info in the ad
Reply: large hand-made road-racing bicycle in fair condition
Italian components
I guess it's kinda rare and desirable (I see bare frames going for $500 or more on eBay)
I think they are mentalist...

This is an upside down bike
The frame is flipped upside down and modifications were made to adjust
The seat and handle bars were raised
The handle bars have one broken weld, but I can reweld if there is a buyer.
I built this when I was a kid in the early 80's
Always gets plenty of attention when riding and you are riding up in the air.

I'm not sure I've seen Schwinn and Limited Edition used in the same sentence before.
I suppose when you get down to it, all bikes are mostly hand-made.

MTB fans, somebody save this
Vintage Specialized Hardrock MTB XL, 21"
Vintage Specialized Hardrock MTB XL, 21"
I buy just about everything Specialized I see for under $50, but I'd probably pass on that. Hardrock with Altus components is bottom of the barrel Specialized, and it looks like it needs everything. If it was at Goodwill instead of outside for 3 years, maybe there would be money to be made, but not much. Any tuned up Specialized MTB should get you at least $100, but that would probably be breaking even at best on this one. Might be worth it for free.
I'm guessing it's this 1997 model

I have yet to stop laughing at this... It's not messed up or stupidly priced, but what smart ass at Giant had the idea of naming a women's bike the 'butte'? Giant butt? rofl
Giant Butte Lady 21spd
ITT its pronounced 'beaut', not butt. I know. Grow a sense of humor.
