NISHIKI fixed gear - $95 (Oceanfront)

"NISHIKI - Read fixed gear 54 cm - 55 cm
- deep V rims with a flip-flop freewheel and fix gear axle.
- extra set of aluminum rims
- what you see is what you get
- depending on the writer may want a new seat or petals as the petals are click in type
- now that I live in the ocean current I am a beach cruiser person

I am 6'1"and the bike fits me perfectly.
The seat is adjustable so The seat is adjustable so I recommend being at least 5'8""

https://norfolk.craigslist.org/bik/d...605052716.html

(Those are all the pictures. "What you see is what you get"? I guess living in the ocean has taken a toll on the "writer"? Beach cruisers do ride better underwater than fixies? Or maybe it's that he's 6'1" and rides a 54 cm? Are those even deep-V rims? <sigh emoji>)

(Edit: It's the bike in the background, isn't it? I can be so dense sometimes...)

Maybe the Open Pros are the "extra set of aluminum rims" he's talking about? If so...

Are You Looking Very Hard For One Of These?

Don't get me wrong, for $95 that red bike in the background can't be all bad, especially with an extra set of rims? Not my size, though, too small. Most of my best purchases from CL have arisen from ads like this. But with the copy and the photos, it really belongs here in Wacky Land as well?

That one has egregiously bad spelling, and the blurry background bike being the main subject... definitely belongs here.

But, I love ads like that. I have started using "bicicleta" in my search terms, and hope to see that one shot that tells me it's a good bike. Like this:

Both function well and 27" model has new tires and recently ridden, 24" may require new tires. Garage kept, normal wear, never damaged."

https://eastnc.craigslist.org/bik/d/...602068936.html

(I'm posting this both here and in "Are You Looking..." because. Here, as the visual of the two bikes is interesting and wacky, with the top tubes aligned but the bottom brackets not. One has 27" tires and the other has 24"? Really? I guess, but..?)
From what I can see it looks fine. Compare the bottom of the tires as if it's on a perspective grid. If it was up here I would by them and throw some new cheap tires on them. You can still make a profit yet give a good deal for someone. Especially with the price of gas!

$375 for the frame and fork? It's a midlevel recreational bike. I wouldn't pay anything even close to $375 for the whole bike.

Kind of an eclectic selection of parts here. Wife cleaning out her husband's stuff?

However, what caught my eye is the fork in the middle???

bike parts - $20 (Junction City)

Some new - I don't know what they are but they were expensive. Wheels, rims, tires, gears, brakes, etc. Voice call please - I don't text - sorry.

Yep, Easy Racers fork has bridge for brake with small front wheel and braze-ons for fairing mount brackets.

Maybe it's lens distortion like in those weird panoramic photos you see. Rear wheel also looks a little odd.

Cool bike, but...

GT Tachyon, for the low, low price of $479. Oh, and you'll need to plan for a 650B conversion, unless you have an inside line on 700D tires.

IIRC, the original Sting Rays had something like this ^^^^^^, and either a drum+rim or two rim brakes in the rear, so kids could "lay a patch" with that wide-@$$ square profile rear slick.
