I don't get the thing with the name Parsons. What does that mean? But I do get the idea of having more cash on Sunday afternoon.

EDIT: Oh a parson is a clergy member. Well, you know, there are a lot of dentists named Dennis. And there was urologist near me named Dr. Seaman.

It probably depends on the denomination. Lutherans like me tend to come from German stock, and while I am an exception in that I don't drink, most lutherans (including many of our pastors) do drink. Southern baptists, less likely.

I vaguely recall a doctor's office in the Detroit area where the two docs were named Paler and Wheeker. And a podiatrist (foot specialist) named Smelsey. There was a family doctor here (retired now, IIRC), in one of the "networks", named Bonebrake.

Another Franken-Schwinn, but this one's more of an Einstein-Schwinn, or perhaps a Schrödin-Schwinn or Heisen-Schwinn.. Seller claims he can fit it for "smaller riders". So the headtube must contain some sort of quantum singularity, allowing the stem to collapse in on itself as you lower it.....

Vintage Schwinn cruiser conversion - $75 (downtown)

Other than the crud/rust? Oh, the flag. Just piling it there without a proper folding is desecration, IIRC.

The price is also , for a bike that's been rode hard and put away wet.

[Edit: I contacted the seller and politely encouraged him to pick up the flag, clean it up, and either fold it and put it away or fly it as the flag is in several images. It is a code/law violation, and I don't want someone else jumping on his case in a less than gracious manner, even if the symbolism and sight of a disrespected flag is repulsive to me.]

It is a Voyageur. Any guess on the model year, based on the branding? Looks like a Vetta Blackburn knock-off rear rack. Hmm, maybe I should Email him; it's gotta be nearby. N+1.......

'87 is my guess, judging by the faded color.

Hmm, well if nothing grabs me at tomorrow's thrift store bike sale, maybe I'll bite.

old school dyno GT air (baraboo)
Letting the whole setup go for less than the price I paid for just the amp. The amp is a 1 channel, 750watt rms, 1500 watt Max. I bought the sub from a st Vincent thrift store one day that I was treasure hunting. It works great, definitely an old school sub, the magnet is at least a 30oz and really sends quality bass. I had this in my Ford escape but I need the space for my outdoor adventures. Come and get it in Baraboo ($80 firm)

Takes a big drop or a big bump to bend a seat tube. On a diamond frame it probably would have buckled the top tube and down tube behind the head tube.

Is that all one tube, with the lug slipped over it? Or are there two tubes along with the "top" tube slipped into the lug?

I'm just imagining how a REAL hard impact (pothole, curb jump, etc. on the REAR wheel would force the whole rear triangle upward, and with nothing at the seat tube / stay joint keeping it from moving forward, the "top" tube / seat tube lug would become the point where the seat tube gives within the lug.
