Yeah, he ****t-ed up the listing, but that's a pretty nice tourer with XC-E, etc, and (apparently) two Blackburn racks, at a reasonable price.

The text of the ad reads:

This is a lot of Abus Bike Locks. It includes 3 Bordo 6000 Folding Locks (1 75cm and 2 90cm). All locks are in good used condition. None of them have keys. Keys will need to be made to use these locks.

Retail value is around $500!

NOTE: No codes or keys are available.

Abus says:

Ordering replacement or spare keys from ABUS is simple with your Key Code.

ABUS strongly encourages you to create an account and register your Key Code soon after you purchase your lock so the code is readily available, in the event you misplace your key Code Card (if applicable) or lose your spare key.

If your code is registered you can reorder new keys with the click of a button. If you lost your key code but still have a spare key, it may be possible for ABUS to cut you a new key based on specific photographs of your spare key from very specific angles. If you do not have a spare key or the code, we cannot cut additional or spare keys.

These came up on CL near me, I'll just show the highlights from the ad text and the "best" picture from each one. These are all from the same seller. On the TREK bikes they showed a picture of the original invoice from 1998, I know the people that bought them new, they used to live just down the street from me. Note the Brooks B17 on top of the pogo stick on the men's TREK........... Nothing like leaving some wiggle room on the price, not sure where they came up with them but DAMN!

All kinds of Wacky

Not sure if its the fork or the frame, but something sure looks bent here.
Just cleaned all components?
Beatles era was 1985?

I think the fork steer tube is bent just above the crown. It would make any headset adjustment tricky.

I can't tell if the TT/DT are bent. That is an awfully steep head tube angle, but the frame is listed as "Triathlon" which could change everything.

I looked up the catalog, seems its actually a 1988 bike. Sizes listed c-t makes me think its a 57cm. Head tube angle 74, seat tube 73.3. As always hard to tell from a pic but prospective buyers beware..

Notwithstanding the seller's poor recollection of music history, I agree with you that something appears to have a bend in it when it shouldn't. My guess is the fork.

But the price is right for $100. Cleaned-up, those 105 parts are worth more than that alone. And if the frame is not damaged, a replacement fork can easily be sourced.

Define Wacky

Classic French Randonneur 62cm MAP cycles - $4200 (Rock hill)

"Heres a rare chance to own one of the finest bikes I've ever ridden. Built and owned by Mitch Pryor, constructeur of some of the most highly praised bikes ever featured in bicycles quarterly.

Modeled after Jan Heine's Alex Singer, this is the bike that helped Jan rediscover low trail geometry.
This MAP Randonneur is as beautiful to look at as it is to ride. Take a sec to soak in the bi laminate hand carved lugs, graceful bend of the front fork, hidden dynamo wiring, internal brake routing, and deep maroon paint with gold lug lining. Paint matched frame pump to complete the package.

I rode 2 brevets on this bike. The road rolls by quickly and comfortably as you glide across the world.
Knee injury forces sale. Mitch is no longer making frames as the paradise wildfires devastated his shop. His frames sold for 4500-5500 and took 8 months (when they were still available)

Build:
Rack:MAP custom
Decaleur:MAP custom
Stem: MAP custom with boss for brass bell
Headset: chris king
Seatpost:Nitto s65
Bars:Nitto noodle 177. 44cm
Brakes: Mafac Competition center pull (braze on)
Levers: dia compe 202 (perfect mechanical advantage for mafacs)
Shifters: durable ace sl 7700 dowtube shifters with indexed and friction modes
Crank: TA Pro 5 vis (new gen)
Chain rings: 48/32 brand new
Bottom bracket: self sealed squared taper
Front Derailleur: shimano rx100 (perfect match for the 48 tooth chaining
Rear derailleur: rd 6500 gs
Cassette: ultra 12-27
Chain: wipperman connex 9sp
Front dynamo light: SOn deluxe ( custom rigged with hidden wiring to custom mount on rack
Rims: velocity a23
Front hub: SON deluxe wideboxy with connectorless hub with matching fork
Fenders:hondo
Nitto R bottle cages"

https://charlotte.craigslist.org/bik...936452755.html

(23 photos and these are the only two which are not closeups of components. If one wants $4200, the least one could do is post a drive side pic?)

Refreshingly Forthright, Albeit (Perhaps?) Overpriced, But I Learned A New Word!

90s Pinarello Road Bike - $500

"Size-52 cm
Shimano sti shifters
Dura Ace front and back brakes
Dura ace front and rear derailleur
Dura ace crankset
Technomic stem
MKS pedals

I’ve had this jawn for years now, it has served me well. I’m 5’8 and it fits me because of the taller stem. The frame is in great condition granted I found it at a junkyard. I’m not sure about the year but I know it was a run around mid early 90s. Give it some tlc and it will last a lifetime. Ready to ride"

https://greensboro.craigslist.org/bi...937050411.html

(jawn
/jôn/

(chiefly in eastern Pennsylvania) used to refer to a thing, place, person, or event that one need not or cannot give a specific name to.
"these jawns are very inexpensive")

I think that will do just fine, until the next comes along.

Yikes, I thought I spent too much time inside my own head. (and maybe I do).

Seller is "nostalgic" for the bike, unable to ride it for "health reasons", but too young to know when the Beatles era was?

I just realized, the key sequence for the old grouchy guy icon is : 50 : . Fifty? FIFTY? Hmm, fifty was......
