What Could it BE???

I just had one of those phone calls that you dream about...

A good friend of mine who is at a high end bike shop just called me with a little surprise. A man came in at lunch time with a bike that a 76 year old friend of his had left to him in his will. The man does not ride anymore and was asking my contact for a lead on someone who might be interested in purchasing the bike from him. He passed along my # and I am expecting a call in a few hours.

My friend won't tell me anything more but said that I will be "VERY HAPPY".

I don't want anymore bikes but I can barely wait. Maybe it is one of my GRAIL bikes?!

GGM is TOO much of a race bike - stiff as a board.

Good for slightly over weight folk. You can't always depend on getting deathly ill to loose a few stone, eh?

Not one of MY grail bikes, but a fine bike. A Fuso. I am going to meet him and see the bike this week. It was packed and sent to him a month ago and is still in the box.

Pics please! I'd take a Fuso as a stand-in for the grail any day.

This is the kind of thing I'm waiting for.

I mean, I wish all riders/people good health but...

Be very careful not to be tripped up by that question about your favorite color.

Chris_in_Miami 04-15-09 12:45 PM

Blue..., no, yelloooooww!

Bianchigirll 04-26-09 10:05 PM

a Fuso sounds interesting. as for grail bikes that would be a good thread something I always thought was cool is a curly stay Hetchens. I don't thing I ever saw one in person.
