Schwinn Sprint made in 1974/75/ and a few in 1976. The correct term was "short coupled" and it was something Schwinn was doing with Paramounts. Basically a Continental with a different frame. Handling is a bit quicker because of the shorter wheelbase. Supposed to help them climb better. Weigh mid 30 pound range. Roger

I had a blue Sprint, it was a quicker handling bike compared to the regular Continental. Unfortunately mine got stolen shortly after I purchased it and never replaced.

Here's an Electroforged version as well, Certainly a cool looking and unusual frame.

Since my first post on this I have added another Sprint to my collection and found out it is a 1977 that was made from left over frames from the 1974/5 era. It is the orange one in the picture. Roger

I just ran my Continental into a parked car and got the same effect. The nimbler handling would have been great for criteriums.

I'm thinking they should combine the curbed seattube with curly seatstays and call the bike model Dali.

I think they're cool as heck but I can't imagine it affects the feel of a Schwinn Electroforged Boat Anchor all that much.

Correct me if i'm wrong but I recall reading that the idea is it results in a stiffer rear triangle because the chainstays are shorter.

@KonaAron, add some Bates Diadrant forks and call it a masterpiece.

Here's a Paramount tandem on Portland CL with a curved stoker seat tube.

Holy short stoker batman. Actually... that'd probably work for myself and half the girlfriends I've had. I've been about a foot taller than many of them.
