Cable compatibility

So I acquired an old fuji gran tourer se, incredible condition. I'm replacing some rusted cables and I was wondering as far as compatibility goes, is there a brand I should be looking at? (for relatively low money)

The bike has suntour stem shifters on it.

thanks

No, cables are cables, there are quality differences between some though. You can get a full set of Bell brand cables at walmart for just under 6 dollars, they work but you will notice alot more friction because the cable housings are not lined.

You can find higher quality lined housings online that will feel much smoother but they are more like 10 dollars and up.

Check niagaracycle.com for good prices on quality cable.
