Good price on a vintage Pinarello?

Hi,

Im looking to buy my first racer and ive been offered a vintage Pinarello (age?)

The frame is Columbus Aelle and the rest of the parts are Shimano 105SC and 14 geared SIS.

They are asking for $500-550

Is this a good price or are they trying to rip me?

Appreciate all the help I can get.

It looks a nice bike but its quite a small frame. Its important that the bike fits you, how tall are you?

Not a great deal but not a ripp off. It looks like an entry level model , I would place a value of $250-300 on the frame alone , the parts could easily have a value of $100-150 (if in very good shape) so I think you are looking at a $350-450 bike . Only my opinion but I would have no problem getting about $400-450 for a bike like this locally .

+1, it's a budget Pino frame, but still will be a fine ride, and tho the 105 is also a budget gruppo, it will perform just fine. IF it fits you try to knock down $100 and you'll be doing well.

175 CM is about 5' 9" and 75cm is about 29.5"

If so, the bike sounds like it may be a little small. I would think a 53-54 cm would be better.
