Raleigh Technium Pro?

Found one of these today at a pawn shop, and all the components are pretty rough looking Suntour GPX. The odd part is that the brake levers are STX Shimano sti's? Anyways, frame is clear pink anodized tubes with black rear triangle and head tube(and BB). Bars are typical Sakae Modolo's(My favorite~!) and overall it's pretty dirty. They had it marked $154.95, but said out the door they would go $125. I wanted to go $100 since the components were fubar, just to make it reasonable for a frame only. It is a COOL looking frame, and would look great with some grey tri color 600 if I can come across a full group. Was I wrong for passing on it? My brain said leave it there, but my heart says it was a good price.,,,,BD

I think I should have got it for $50, after enduring all of their dumb questions and comments. Things like "You wear one of them funny hats? I gave a deadpan answer to that one. Yes I do, it's better than being dead....

Show some pics if you have one?

The Technium Pro is worth, in my opinion, the $125 they wanted. The Technium was a light mix of aluminum and steel and Suntour GPX was good stuff. Yep, the 600 tricolor would have looked and worked well on that bike.

I jumped at a Technium Pro not long ago that was Suntour Superbe and $250. I was too late.

I have a Technium 440 already, and I couldn't see anything different about it except for the components and rear dropouts? The components were chipped up pretty bad and corroded in some spots. It was a little dark but I think it had vertical drops as the only major difference. Were they made from a different aluminum tubing than the lower models, the sticker was missing on the lower seat tube. The rear wheel was also replaced at some point, and didn't match. Front dark anodized, rear silver M13. I know I may have been too picky, but my wife was also with me, hehe.,,,,BD

They also had a Specialized TriCross that fit me, for $600.... Fixed gear cyclocross isn't really my thing though.:D

I think the aluminum on the Pro was a different level, and all the steel was chro-mo, where some of the earlier Techniums had some High-Ten steel in places.
