Help me figure out what my new bike is?

I picked this up on ebay yesterday for $42, no shipping. I'm new to vintage bikes and only know it's an old Raleigh. I was told it was a 2 speed, but from researching the hub, it's a Sturmey Archer AW, 3 speed. That's about all I've been able to figure out, but I want to use this bike to learn and eventually restore it (it's a little rusty and the paint is pretty cracked).

Any idea what it is and where I can find some more info. on it? Thanks!

Try some goof off and similar solvents; you may get that extra paint off without hurting the original paint... assuming, of course, there is any.
