Ran into this fellow on Friday...

While pedaling along Detroit Rd. in Lakewood, Ohio I caught sight of this old-timer pedaling in and out of traffic up ahead. He crossed at the corner and took the sidewalk as I followed traffic and sped ahead in the drops. I was about half a block ahead when I got to thinking that an old rust-bucket would be fun to share on here. When he caught up I asked if I could take his picture with his bike and he agreed.

We got to talking and he told me his bike was 41 years old and he got it at Sears & Roebuck. "It belongs on the beach", he said "at the Atlantic or Specific[sic ] Ocean. When the water goes out and the sand dries you can ride for miles." You could still see the faint white pointed tip on the front of the fender and the skip-tooth chainring was still going strong. A cool old bike for a cool old guy.
