New style stem for Schwinn Continental

Does anyone make a new style stem to fit the 1" steer tube of a 72 Schwinn Continental. I finally figured out this morning that I need to raise the stem to get a more upright position (back and neck issues) I don't want to put Northroad style bars on it but may have to resort to that if I can't get what I'm looking for.

Recently I spotted these on the Harris website. These will probably do the trick and are reasonable in price. The page specifically states, "fits Schwinn Varsity...." Best of luck.

If you're not too picky, you could use a riser stem (steel) off an old dept store MTB. If you're interested in one, let me know, I could probably find you one.

Yep, I recently walked in and picked up the 10" unit - works great - just don't like the nut under near the stem - would rather it be easier to get to. Can't switch it around cuz the stem head uses a notched bolt that fits in the front. Very comfortable now.

I've used a Wald stem as a replacement with success.

I found mine for like 16 bux on eBay so I know you can do better than this one.
