Rare 1988 Nishiki?

I bought the following Nishiki bike at a LBS in September of 1990 near Montreal. I remember paying about 600 CAD for it at that time. Markings indicate the following:

Nishiki (Sport Series)
Model: Silhouette designed by Norco
FD: Shimano Sport LX
RD: Shimano Sport LX
Hubs and Shift Levers: Shimano Exage Sport
All other components: Shimano Exage Action with "Biopace" Chainrings
Seat: Vetta
Rims: Araya 700C
Serial Number: CH03503 (from my reseach I believe this means that it was made for the Canadian market in 1988)

(Photo files too large to attach)

Question: I can find no reference to the Nishiki "Silhouette" or where it fell in the hierarchy at the time. Can anybody help with more info on this bike?

Cheers,

Fasteddy.

The best way to post pics is to first post them onto a free service like Photobucket or Flickr and then post a link.

Okay thx. Here is a photo. Tires, Handle Tape and Pedals (stolen in 1991) all replaced.

That would be a Canadian Nishiki, when the company was a subsidiary/division of Norco. They owned the Fiori brand at that time as well.
Shimano Sport LX stuff was a step down from 105, IIRC. So, the Silhouette was a high-end recreational bike - not quite considered race quality.
It's not really rare, in that there were hundreds of dealers in Canada selling those bikes at that time, and it isn't a particularly high-end model, but it's a decent bike that's worth taking care of.
