Brooks team pro or B17?
 

I just swapped out my like new team pro for my starting to break in B17...To my surprise the B17 was instantly more comfy.

If I ride miserably for 1200 miles, will my pro feel like the B17? I'm pondering finding somebody to trade the Pro for the B17 with copper rivets. It seems the extra width really provides a no nonsense hammock on the butt.

Depends on the individual backside in question. I found exactly the opposite: Team Pro (160mm) was immediately comfortable right out of the box while Champion Flyer (170mm - B17 top with springs) has never become comfortable after miles of use. A well worn B17N (150mm) and a well worn Ideale 45 (also 150mm) are also quite comfortable to me so I guess my sit bones are narrow. Lord knows the rest of me isn't :o
