Selle San Marco Saddles

How is a Selle San Marco saddle constructed? Is it like upholstery leather with some padding underneath, or is it cowhide like a Brooks?

They are all sold as "Leather Saddles"

It seems that padded saddles give me saddle sores while my B.17 and B.67 both treat me well.

San Marco makes dozens of saddles, be more specific.

The Regal is a plastic shell, padding and a leather top.

Maybe if you took a little slobber from the side of your mouth, you could keep it greasy

Padded saddles give you saddle sores? You mean like gel padding? The San Marco Regal is pretty thin on padding - in fact I barely notice that it's padded at all (it's not gel). Maybe you should invest in better padded shorts/liner?

I have this saddle, I don't really know what its padded with, but at least this padded saddle give me sores. Brooks Saddles don't. Problem is I want a white saddle, and Brooks doesn't make white.

This is the look i'm going for. It doesn't need to have those flashy rivets though.

I considered a Cardiff saddle which is a ripoff of a brooks b17 in white, but it costs the same as a brooks and i feel dumb buying a Brooks knock-off for as much or more than the real mccoy.

I'm not really into the whole padded shorts thing...I'd rather have a saddle that I can ride comfortably than one that I need special pants to use.

I doubt you'd be happy with a white Regal.

It's way too...how shall I put this...

Too 'Regal' for you.

If you are just wearing your normal shorts, whatever they may be, and not dedicated bike shorts, stick with what works for you, color be damned.

Or try a little chiffon in a wrist array.

Thats probably the correct answer...go with what works best.

I can always tie some ribbon to the bag loops or whatever to gay it up.

The Regal is a nice saddle. It isn't really padded, but is wide and slick which strangely seems to make up for the lack of padding. I routinely ride mine in gym shorts on the daily 13.5 mile exercise run. They hold their value really well, so if you buy one to try and don't like it you can get decent money back by selling it. Another good classic-looking option is the San Marco Rolls, which is padded:

sorry, not laughing at you or your choice in saddles - just the product description
trying to be cute yet "saucy"
"love-channel" sounds like some bad pay-per-view

the seat looks a bit more padded than you might need
no, the Regal isn't really padded but it's not thick leather like a Brooks - scout around eBay for all leather seats
Try Cardiff saddles - they have the rivets though which is something you're going to run into more often with "vintage" style saddles
https://cgi.ebay.com/SADDLE-BIKE-RACE-CARDIFF-CAMBRIA-LEATHER--WHITE-NEW!_W0QQitemZ400052364367QQcmdZViewItem

the Cardiff website - they have a number of white leather Brooks style saddles
https://www.cardiffltd.com

You didn't say anything about how you ride or what you ride - it might make a difference in what gets suggested to solve your problem
