Tip-toeing around the controversy: I have not heard of any regular Aelle frame falling apart due to tubing failure, and I've never even SEEN an Aelle R frame in person, so hardly any evidence AFAIK about their durability. But I'd assume if the FRAME is well built, in good condition and is properly cared for, it will probably out-live you and me.

I had one that failed at the head tube but it wasn't the tubing's fault... fatigue from a previous crash. It was a Ciocc and MangMoly instead of ChromeMoly also not butted so it wasn't especially light.
