What happened to T-Mar

In my archival searches, he came up most frequently as a very able contributor. Has he left the board?

i think he is on a leave. you can still PM him but I am not sure when/if he will reply.

he IS a bounty of knowledge and I think there should be some website/page dedicated to him in the same vein as sheldon brown.

I was wondering the same thing. Seemed like, from his posts, not only a very knowledgeable poster but a genuinely nice person, too. Very helpful, always looking to share information. I was afraid to PM him for thinking he might have had a 'break' from the board.

T-Mar is on 'sabbatical' he needed to take some time off and said he'd be back ( I think it
was for most of the summer?).

Yes, I believe you are correct. He's not only an expert, but also simply a great guy, with whom I have exchanged several cordial emails over the years.

Some of our posters tend to be cyclical--they have commitments in the summer which oblige them to () forego the pleasures of posting on BF.

They will eventually reappear, much to our delight .

Cyclotoine just posted earlier this week on my Rivendell thread. He's around.

What about Scooper? Haven't seen him around for a long while? I assume he is busy with his charity ride?

Micheal is having "malicious rumors" problems with the police at the moment but still finds time to ride whenever he is "on the run".
