West Point Cruiser

My church was given a West Point (possibly sp. Westpoint) bicycle for our annual sale. I'm trying to find out more about it.

The bike is a classic cruiser type from the fifties or sixties. 26" wheels. mens frame. Red with white piping. Coaster brakes, both fenders and a rack. Kick stand, ALL parts appear to be original.

Condition: Some scratches and a very small aount of rust on the frame and rack. Some rust spots on chrome. The most rusted part is the chain.

Does anyone know about this company or mode?

Thanks.

Pictures would help a great deal. Do you mean "Westpoint" or "Westfield"?

DUH! You'd think this was my first PC - 29 years ago. I'll get a couple of good shots tomorrow and upload them tomorrow night.

Here is a composite picture of the bike and certain features. IF this bike iis as old as I suspect, the condition is remarkable. The only thing that I'm sure isn't orifinal is the tire(s), though I also suspect the seat and handlebar.

It looks to me like a semi-modern middleweight bicycle. I'm not terribly familiar with Westpoint, but it looks like a department store type bike-- lower end. It's not worth much, but can be used as a workable rider. If it's made in China or Taiwan, it's a newer low end cruiser repro type of thing. This will hopefully help you a little at least.
