threading on edco competition hubs?

Hey, I just wanted to make sure the threading on an edco competition rear hub I picked up a couple weeks ago is english before I strip it trying to get a freewheel on. Does anyone know for sure? Velobase and a forum and google search didn't come up with much.

The first three threads or so seem fine, then there's a lot of resistance.

Thanks!

Most likely English. Weren't they in the Campy clone business ? Probably just went after the English thread market for convenience.

OP: are you sure that there aren't any thread standard markings on the hub?
Yeah, Ignore me, it was late and my brain is rusty.
