Carnielli stems
Put this stem on my Rickert. It came off of a 70's Bottecchia. I remember seeing these on Atala, Frejus and other Italian bikes of the Boom years. Theyre nice looking and will accept Cinelli bars. A good quality vintage looking stem.

Carnielli was the manufacturer of Bottecchia so many Bottecchias came with them. Probably Graziellas, also made by Carnielli, and the odd Carnielli branded bicycle too. It would be interesting if they used those on other brands as well. I don't remember seeing that but maybe.

Oh, so thats why it says Carnielli on Bottecchia frames. Perhaps these are unique to Bottecchia. I seem to remember something very similiar to these on other Italian bikes. Could be I'm thinking of older TTT stems.

The Italian brand "FG" looks somewhat similar too.

Interesting. I've vaguely heard of Roma-Sport but not the other two at all. A while back I ran across an oddity of a Graziella racing bike. Until then all of the Graziellas I'd seen were the folding model but this one is essentially a Bottecchia but with Graziella head badge and decals.
