I saw that today also. Rarely does nice stuff pop up on the local cl, and when it does look what happened to it. The only plus is they kept the original stuff.

Not sure about the tear-source here - just swap the parts if the fixie conversion offends you.

More the repaint for me... I don't mind fixed gears, as long as the frames are not butchered.

It has been pretty warm and muggy. Trimming out houses and building cabinets with no AC makes for a nasty saw dust paste all over you.

Paramount's are not that plentiful and I do find it offending that the seller has no thought at all about converting a true collectible . I mean the seller could not find a less valuable victim?

I suggest that anyone who wishes to vocalize on the subject print this out and hang it from their frame as they please:

ONE LESS (censored) FIXIE

Makes mine one rarer.Personally I would have sold the Para.if I didnt care for the original style and taken the money, made a fixie and pocketed the rest for another project.

The R side crank arm/ring assemble would make a nice weapon on his noggin.

You guys really need to find a worthy and human related cause to direct all of this otherwise useless and wasted angst.

I've often thought Jackie Chan should arrange a fight in a bike shop. He's done great work on a bicycle, he'd be downright dangerous with a Campy tool kit and a pile of parts.

I usually like the look of a bike converted to fixed—no cables or anything—it's such a clean look.

But something about this one—maybe it's the enormous frame—makes it look awful. Too spare.
