+1

I don't think there are a whole lot of people who share your view of torelli, but I'm sure yours is a lovely bike.

Paramount - I think you definitely got the pick(s) of the litter from the guy who was advertising the 8 bikes on CL last week. I was in the door 2 hours after you left with your bikes - admired your Paramount hanging on the wall of his storage unit. Wasn't too impressed with any of the bikes that were left by the time I got there, so I left empty handed...

I really, REALLY want this bike, and it's my size, but just don't have the funding, need, or space for another vintage mountain bike. This is a grail bike for me- 1990 Ritchey P-23 team, fillet brazed by Ritchey himself:

I checked ebay's sold listings, a similar one sold in November for $1075 plus $100 shipping, so I think it's a decent price. I've spent the last 24 hours figuring out what I'd have to sell to get it. Just about everything ! Go for it Aaron!

Edit: Just please let me see it in person if you buy it.

Soooo tempting. A little big for me but dang, I just wanna take the bus down there and ride it back home!

Actually saddle height's about right in the pic, just dunno if I could hack the reach.

I know, I kept looking at it wondering if they maybe measured wrong & I could ride it. After further staring at it I decided it's definitely too big for me. Oh well.

1990 RB-1. Looks ridden but cared for.

58cm Bridgestone RB1 Vintage Road Bike - $450
(downtown)

Posting this bike for my dad. It is a vintage Bridgestone RB-1 CrMo steel frame, made in Japan. Grant Petersen designed frame, which makes this a collectable in some circles. Not sure what year it is. The bike is 58cm size, has suntour cranks, derailleurs, bottom bracket, and downtube shifters, brakes are dia-compe, and tires are continental gator skins made in Germany. Overall condition is very good, would clean up nicely. Please contact me with any questions. Price is based on ebay prices for this model, which are going between $500 and $1200.

I have been watching this one too. Is the drive/bus/train down to Salem/Kaizer worth it? Hmmmmm.

I'd probably wuss out and take the bus back part way. I often ride bike back from Salem to Woodburn, take the $1 bus from Woodburn to Oregon City, then ride the bike from there to Vancouver.

There's also a faster bus from Wilsonville to Salem for $3.

Can you explain this bike to me? Is it a cross bike? Or an old-school mountain bike?

It's a mountain bike. Just looks funny without tires on. Don't see many olde Ritchey CXers. Here's one that's maybe 5 years newer than that P-23.

I don't often post up CL finds from across the pond but this is pretty darned rare, a Rene Herse mixte in Luxembourg listed on the Belgian version of Craigslist. I think the price is very good, especially considering how low the Euro is right now against the greenback.

Here is one...not sure if the price is right...but...

Vintage Italian racing bike - 1985 Tommasini - $950 (Shelby, NC) < >

condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Tommasini
model name / number: Prestige
size / dimensions: 56 cm

This rare handmade Italian frame with pink paint scheme commemorating countryman Francesco Moser's 1984 win in the Giro d'Italia (Tour of Italy) is as much a work of art and historic antique as it is a great ride! This one-owner masterpiece has always been stored indoors and is in excellent condition. Priced to move quickly, this is a fantastic deal for the knowledgeable cycling enthusiast or longtime fan of world-class racing! The original Campagnolo Super Record pedals (not pictured) are included.

I was in touch with the owner of this bike over the past month. It has been completed and put on ebay Germany for more $ - Longchamp Mixted Rene Herse 1973 collection bicycle - bike | eBay. He was not willing to just sell the frame when I spoke to him.

Tempting, as I love the way these ride. Great frameset color.

Alas, too small and I already have two Tommasinis.
