complete late 80s dura ace gruppo + wheels and saddle, ~$300. All residing on a genuine Masi frame!
https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/bik/1548438212.html
"Vintage Masi road bike, Columbus SLX and SP tubing, 58c , serial # 7058, I bought it back in 1986 or 1987?? when it was maybe 1-2 years old as a "new old stock" racer from a private party-not a shop. The guy bought the frame and sat on it for a couple of years and then built it with 100% Dura -Ace (12 speed , 170 crank ). The only thing not Dura Ace is the 105 brake levers I changed out to wrap the cables in bar tape. I think I have the original Dura Ace brake leveres somewhre if you want them. Never really could confirm if it was built in Italy and numbered and painted in San Marcos or Rancho Santa Fe- or if it was built here at one of those two Masi shops?
It is is good condition- BESIDES THE FACT THAT IT WAS WRECKED BY ME......... FULL DISCLOSURE - T-Boned a Dodge truck when I was going about 10-15mph.back in 1993. It's hung in the garage since then. Frame is tweaked at the headtube (take alook at the photos) and the fork is slightly bent. Unbelievably the front Matrix IsoC front rim is true, didn't bend at all, I had many fond memories racing that bike so I was going to fix it....some day........ Never happened.
Is it worth fixing the frame damage and respray the cool fade paint job?
Or using it as a parts bike for another restoration?
Maybe part it out?
Buy this and another frame?
You buy it and decide! "

Totally Refinished touring bike (trek) 1983 400 made with 2001 Mangalloy. 25.5" frame.
It has the original headset and BB both cleaned and re-greased.
It also has Diacompe 500 caliper brakes that have been cleaned and repolished,
Weinmann wheels with Helicomatic hubs,
Zefal frame pump,
Original Bars
Shimano front and rear derailleur and shifters.
Color matched toe clips with the pedals.
Original Seatpost
Everything was totally disassembled and cleaned then polished to high shine. Also has a sticker kit from Velocals to complete the refurbish. All this bike needs to go is a crank set and tires.
This is the third and last Trek that I have. I would love to keep it but right now need the cash more than I want the bike.
if you email me I can forward for close up and detailed photos.
I need to sell this bike quick, today if at all possible. 615-504-4369
The price IS NEGOTIABLE (within reason)

i was only commenting on the price.
if it were reasonably close i would buy it, put the components on one of my steel frames (only because this is too small) and hang the frame on my wall.
edit:
looked again and i may be able to make the size work. WHY AM I STUCK IN IOWA!

I have two nice roadbikes for sale. Not sure on the brands, they were built for my wife and I at a local shop. We used them to commute for a month or two. We just aren't riding them anymore. The silver one is a 14 speed with shimano 600 components, head and tail light, gel seat, seat bag and cycle computer. Standover height is just over 32 inches. The darker gray bike is a 18 speed with shimano 105 components, a carbon fork, gel seat, cable lock and a headlight, standover height is around 31 inches. Both are very nice bikes, I just dont know more specifics. $200 each or $400 for both. Call Christian at 619-857-7790
