Here is another Suntour Ishawata Bianchi an '89 Brava with GPS, $325 Italian Bianchi Brava

May need back innertube.

Infrequent to see touring bikes with cantis at this price at this time of year (Minneapolis Craigslist is a barren wasteland at the moment).

Drive-side dropout repair? That seems like a detail worth noting in some way, and I can't think of many other explanations for the crude primer-grey coat in that area...

Nice Paramount for sale in La Jolla:

I'm saving up to buy a Carbon Fiber bike with a modern drivetrain, and if I bought this Paramount, it would have to come at the expense of that one. So, as much as it kills me, I need to pass on this one. At least philosophically, I can say that this won't provide anything my Tommasini doesn't offer as well, except for the chance to compare early Dura Ace to Campy Super Record.

team fuji road bike. tuned and ready to ride

This isn't my size but this 24" '85 Team Fuji still seems like a decent deal for NYC. I do see that the Suntour Superbe RD was replaced with a new Altus or something like it. What do you think? Might be a good deal for another taller area member.

This one won't last. Is that a Suntour Command Control lever I see?

Bianchi men's bike
[h=2]Bianchi men's bike - $15 (Wakefield)[/h]

This bike has been hanging in our basement for about 10 years. Tires are flat, of course. I do not know if they will need to be replaced or not. Other than the tires and a good dusting and cleaning, it should be usable again.

Currently has clipless pedals on it and a pack rack already attached. Rack alone costs more than $15.

Please respond with a day/time you would like to stop by.

Nice Trek touring bike at a great price for someone tall in San Diego:

This Trek is a 531 frame with serious mountain gearing (half-step granny triple w/28 and a 30 freewheel w/Cyclone GT derailleurs).

This is probably more appropriate for the Cruiser section, but I couldn't find a similar topic. It sounds like this guy may take any offer to avoid the recycle center.

Very much so, for a classic steel bike in nice condition with a modern drivetrain - assuming you don't have an issue with the seller not knowing the difference between red and orange.

Red is hard to photograph, it often comes out a little orange.

And some people are color blind. Doesn't make them untrustworthy.

My comment was mainly facetious, as I assumed the fact that the DeRosa appears orange, rather than red, was due to either the effect of lighting, or some degree of color-blindness of the owner - neither of which I considered to be a major problem. In fact, if I lived in New York, I would have aggressively made a move to own that DeRosa, as it's exactly my size (and probably quite similar in color to my Tommasini) but has the advantage of the modern drivetrain.

If I'm not mistaken the correct term for that color is "tomato red" and yes it is a little on the orange side.

I actually remember this color and it is an odd color but actually when seen in the sunlight is quite attractive. It's not orange but it's not red, it's in between. However I wouldn't pay the price he's asking because the bike is bastardized, if it all the original components then yes it may be worth it but not with the modern schit, it makes me wonder if he sold the original components then slapped on some left over stuff he had laying around the garage.

I'm fairly certain that the Primato above is the de rosa Ferrari red with some weird lighting affecting the tinge. I've had mine photo a bit like that as well.

It's a whale of a deal - these don't come up often, or cheap. Its a shame about the sloping fork crown, but it's still a heck of a deal.

There is a lot more pictures in the ad.

Vintage Peugeot PFN10E -- "record du monde" racing bicycle

[h=2]Vintage Peugeot PFN10E -- "record du monde" racing bicycle - $1 (va beach)[/h]

Original - I have has only been ridden a handful of times since it was given to me for money owed in the early 80's, it has always been in my garage or shed. In cleaning my garage and listing items on Craigslist I researched the bike to find it was a much better bike then I realized.

I am listing it as "Make an Offer" to see what kind of response I get local before trying eBay.
Below is what I found as far as the catalog data on the bike.

Call or Text John at show contact info

1979 -- Catalog data --
PFN10E -- Super Vitus 172 main tube frame, Bocama lugs, "biconical" rear stays, chromed fork ends; Atom sport low-flange hubs, Mavic Module E 700C rims; Stronglight 104 cranks; Simplex SX410TSP rear, SJA 102 front derailleurs w/ alloy Simplex dt shifters; Weinmann 506 sidepulls; Gallet 31 suede saddle; emerald green.
