eBay / CraigsList finds - "Are you looking for one of these!?" Part II
Senior Member
Absolutely. I follow Doc's sales on ebay, and may one day end up with something from him. All very fine builds at very honest prices.

That's one of my recent builds, but I'm not going to either pimp it on the forum or defend the selling price. The bike's very unusual and the quality of the build speaks for itself.
Just as a data point, if you could find one of those Cinelli frames to buy, the asking price range would be about double the numbers mentioned above.
I lose money on almost every bike I build, but that's why it's a hobby and not a business.

Somewhat slow older guy
Here's another early eighty's Trek 420. Weren't we just talking about these? This one looks to be a few years newer that my '82 - this has the fastback seat stay / binder bolt arraingement.

Tempting! Unfortunately, it has been converted to fixed (I love fixed gear and have nothing against it, but feel that a Cinelli road frame is not the right candidate), but at least it appears to have been done to a very high standard.

I second acoffin's comments. I've found Doc to be nothing but a gentleman of integrity doing the hobby a service.

For the magazine enthusiast! A little pricey but interesting nonetheless!

Anyone know a giraffe needing an old Schwinn? Here's a 71cm frame. I didn't even know they made frames that big.

That is nice, and in my size. But I already have a Vent Noir I, do I need a Vent Noir II? The smoked chrome is cool.
