Several other makers did this, too. Notably there are several Jack Taylor's with this design.
This is a pretty cool and thoughtful frameset with all the braze-ons.

I don't know anything about this next one.

It also made me wonder...the poster says that it was raced in the Tour...and...he never mentioned the rider! He mentions other riders, but not the presumed owner of this bike...

Rear canti posts inside the rear triangle. Strange.

I've seen this on a couple European touring bikes and a couple of american builders as well. I actually like the feature as it keeps the brakes separated from the rack and bags generally associated with a Tourer and makes them more accessible.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but that looks like it wouldn't even be worth the cost of shipping, let alone the seller's asking price.

More appropriate for the 'wacky' thread, perhaps:

It looks like somebody tried to torch the seatpost out.

Without the seatpost and burnt seat tube, it might be worth the $120 for restoration. Or, perhaps even with an untouched stuck seatpost. As it is, it is hard to say, but perhaps they'll find someone local that is willing to play around with it.

Were the Internationals fully chromed under the paint? Or did someone potentially have this chromed sometime over the years?

Around 1969-1971, Raleigh fully chromed several of their line up and had a very thin, transparent paint job called Bronze Green. It basically scratches off with a finger nail. This looks like one of those.

This is my new project - I just picked this frame up from a local Craigslist seller for $120. It turns out he just had surgery where his toes were amputated and his cycling days may be over. He's got some other stuff, including a Masi steel frame that he built as a fixie, a Colnago Super frame set, and, most interestingly, a really nice 3Rensho bike. He said that the 3Rensho will be the one he hangs onto the longest, in case he can get back to riding.

Vintage Paramount pdg frame

I'm planning on building this up with a compact triple and some wide range gearing. The spacing of the rear dropouts is 130mm. I am going to put a modern 9 or 10 speed freehub on the back with brifters.

61 cm Custom Steel Land Shark Track Shark Track Bike | eBay

Today I'm selling my ~1980's custom Land Shark by John Slawta. As of a couple of years ago, John moved to strictly carbon production so things like these are hard to come by.

Here is the part list:
Frame:
Land Shark (60x56 c-c)
Fork/Headset:
Land Shark/Suntour Superb Pro
Crankset/Bottom Bracket:
Suntour Superbe Pro
Pedals:
Giorgia Competicion
Drivetrain/Cog/Chainring/Chain:
50t Suntour/ DID Racing

Handlebars/Stem:
Cinelli Campion Del Monde/ 1A
Saddle/Seatpost:
Turbo
Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Mavic Record du Monde de l'Heure/Campagnolo Nuovo

The chain has since been replaced to a brand new DID racing chain.

The front tire will be a used unglued maxis, the rear rim will be a clincher laced to a older Miche technology hub.

The Frameset has suffered a few scratches and paintchips, but absolutely no dents or dings. Condition is decent for a frame of its age.

Thanks for improving my knowledge!!! :-) (BTW...meant sincerely, not sarcastically...I know it could come across as sarcastic in the world of the Internet)

I do have a 1970 International in the Bronze Green...and...given that I have been "cleaning" it for over a year...I can assure you of one thing...it does not scratch off with a finger nail! So...not sure if that applies...but...still learning!!!!
