'92 Schwinn Paramount Series 5!! Great road bike for racing or pleasure. White frame with purple splatter. Seat has a cover in the picture, actual seat is black, can take or leave the cover.

It's in great condition except for some of the logo decals, which you could remove if you wanted to. I bought this a couple years ago and loved it, but as is life, I haven't biked as much as I thought I would and now I could use the money as I am going back to school.

Here's a quote I found about the bike:
"Today I've come to own a piece of American history: a '92 Schwinn-Paramount Precision Cycle (white with purple slime). This is an odd duck. Seller says it's a "Motobecane Tour de France" (no such thing), the top tube decal indeed says "Tour de France" (as in Gitane?), rest of the (age worn) decals are Peugeot PX10. Lugs look like the ones on my Motobecane Le Champion.

Hugh Power, owner of House of Solid Gold in Beverly Hills, California, has built a thriving business (soon to be known as Gifts of Gold) covering unusual objects in the precious metal. He's made gold fishing lures that are encrusted with rubies and diamonds, gold drinking straws, a gold chess set and a gold guitar pick. He even made a gold toothpick for rapper Snoop Dogg.
"Pretty much everything I create is gold," he said.


Power's masterpiece is a gold mountain bike. He gave "Secret Lives of the Super Rich" an exclusive look at his rolling piece of jewelry.
The bike frame is covered in 24-karat gold, as is the bike chain, the spokes and even the pedals. The bike's logo on the front has 500 black diamonds and 600 yellow sapphires and the seat is covered in alligator skin. The final touch: a custom water bottle made of gold and wrapped in stingray hide.

The price tag for the ultimate bike bling: $500,000.
Despite the blinding price, Power is confident he can sell it.

Looks like the frame doesn't have fender (or rack!) eyelets so they're mounted to the wheel. I don't know what kind of fenders those are, probably steel, might be quite nice, but weren't made for that bike. Strange assemblage of parts on that bike. Pretty overpriced.

On eBay, a full c-record group typically goes for around $1000.

Beyond that, complete bikes often go for around what the parts are worth parted out...nature of the beast. I don't think that establishes this as fair market on CL. If sold as is, not parted out, on ebay, I'd bet it goes for between 1300-1700. Deduct fees, buyer gets a warranty and seller takes on risk of shipping error or dishonest buyer.

If you want ebay pricing, sell it on ebay. I don't know the Cleveland market, but I doubt that would sell complete for anywhere near 1500 in my area, as pretty as it is. The frames aren't that rare and C-record isn't that hard to find.
