I have no need for another tandem, but if one is in the market for a neat classic, this would be a prize. Ripe original. Filet brazed class roller. Cantilever's, has some neat components. Eroica event on tandem!

I dunno, they're going to have a tough time selling that Paramount tandem when this is available.

Because people think they're worth a lot of money and they're not very good riders. I always see these for sale.

It's a joke and/or scam, the photo is from this forum, the owner certainly knows what he has, he used to post here too under the handle mainducoyote

Interesting. I can't personally comment on how they ride as I've never been on a vintage Paramount tandem. However there's different versions from the one above depicted, short w.b. / S bend, lady back and who knows, maybe some custom tall type

No one over in the tandem forum starts out recommending an old bike to me, they are uniformly described as either very noodly for racy models or very heavy for recreational models. At the top of the market, comparing these Paramounts to a Santana or Co-Motion, or at the bottom of the market, an old Twinn to a current T900, you can see there has been plenty of innovation in tandems.

someone in my city made a single seater one of these, I came up behind him in my car and he was ascending a slight hill, the frame and wheels were all flexing. Not something I would want to ride around on.
