1963 Schwinn Superior

Not mine: Vintage Schwinn Schwinn Superior 1963 1/2 15 speed

Very clean original Terra Cotta paint, 24" frame, one of very few I've seen where you can still read the "15 Speed" screening on the top tube. It is missing the original rear derailleur, brake levers, toe clips/straps and the original Brooks B15 appears to be cut to look like a Swallow.

I can't believe this ad is still up. Great bike, and a very good price. And hey look, the shop sticker is from Toga Bike Shop. I might have sold that bike in 1984!

Bad pics, but I think this is a 1991 with full LX. Paint is more of a dark chrome.

[h=2]Giant ATX 760 Mountain bike - $75 (Rochester, MN)[/h]Giant ATX 760 Mountain bike

I have for a sale a Giant ATX 760 Mountain bike. It has aftermarket handlebars, pedal cages, newer tires, and dual water bottle holders. The seat is a little rough with a couple small tears in the fabric, but still quite functional. I've had the bike for about 7 years, been a great bike, but I recently bought a new dual sport to replace it.

These look decent. Not screaming deals or bikes to write home about perhaps, but certainly not bad bikes.

Now $175. PRICE DROP!! Vintage Nishiki Touring Bike!

This is a 1986 Nishiki Cresta GT Touring Bike. Its a 21" frame and is made of Tange lugged cromoly. This bike rides amazing...it feels so smooth. It unfortunately is a tad too small for me or else I would never get rid of it. The wheels are 27" bronze anodized Araya's and spin smooth and true. It also has a rear rack installed as well as three braze ons for water bottle cages. This would make someone a fantastic commuter or all day tourer. I have changed out the handle bars but I have the originals as well. Let me know if you have any questions.

I can't definitively ID it, but Champion #2 is good stuff. Never seen an Avocet crankset before. I agree with early/mid 80s Japan.

Land Shark Formula "1" 56cm

This bike frame was built by Land Shark for our champion John Tomac for the short lived Formula "1" bike racing series. We took the frame and turned it into a T.T. bike for a client who rode it in a short triathlon in south shore in the early 90's. One of a kind, seriously.

Avocet was a rebrander and the dustcaps say Sugino, but they could be replacement.

That Avocet crank is a rebranded Ofmega road triple. Cool crank.

1973 Schwinn Paramount Road Bike

[h=2]1973 Schwinn Paramount Road Bike - $900 (Portland)[/h]

For sale is my fathers 1973 Schwinn Paramount Road Bike(serial #F73173 ), made in June 1973 P13-9. 24" frame size, Opaque Blue color. Its all stock but brakes have been upgraded to record, stem is aftermarket(stock stem is included), and the wheels have been replaced with 700c mavic hoops.

Overall condition is great, the frame dose have some chips and scratches in the paint but as you can see from the picture it looks very good considering the age.

I am located in Portland but can meet a potential buyer half way depending on your location.

asking $900 but feel free to make an offer

Nice bike. Very nice price.

Size 51 Stevens Spin Arts road bike, 9 speed Dura Ace/Ultegra groupset
[h=2]Size 51 Stevens Spin Arts road bike, 9 speed Dura Ace/Ultegra groupset - $500[/h]

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

(google map) (yahoo map)

condition: good
make / manufacturer: Stevens
model name / number: Spin Arts Road Bike
size / dimensions: 51 cm

This steel road bike was hand built by Tom Stevens, and has Dura Ace 9 speed shifters and rear derailleur, Ultegra 170 mm crankset, front derailleur and brakes, Mavic Aksium wheels and tires, Easton 38 cm handlebars, Selle San Marcos saddle and FSA seatpost. The crankset is 130 bcd with 50/38 chain rings. The carbon fork has a 1 1/8th steerer tube and Chris King headset. The stem is a 9 cm Profile Design.

The top tube is 51 cm center-to-center (there is little angle, so the effective and actual measurements are about the same) and the seat tube is 50 cm center-to-center. Please let me know if you need additional measurements.

The price for the bike is $500.

The paint has been chipped and scraped in a number of places and I've tried to show these in the pictures. The worst is a roughly ¾ inch scrape on the top tube, which I've photographed.

The bike has had only one owner and is approximately 5 years old.

Tom Stevens is a well regarded local builder and information concerning his frames can be found at SpinArtsCycles.com.
