Vintage steel Trek 510 racing bike
Vintage steel Trek 510 racing bike - $280 (Southside) < >

New Kent Ave at W 28th St

condition: good
make / manufacturer: Trek
model name / number: 510

This is a real beauty of a classic bike. It needs a new seat, post, and pedals, as it had rider-specific ones that have been moved to a new bike. She's been stored indoors, and all her parts work well. If you're medium height (5'5-5'9) and into the classic stability of steel, this is the bike for you!

If I were less vertical, at $180 I'd get this Georgena Terry Symmetry just to try the geometry - always thought mismatched wheels looked cool. And the Tange #1 tubing is no joke , especially as I don't think you can get a new Terry in steel even from Georgena herself:

Less extreme example in tri kit (so I imagine it's the Chrom) for $400 which maybe makes somewhat less sense for the task and at that price.

No clue what this is....I've been researching and while I thought it might be either a Nishiki Professional or a Centurion Semi-Pro, nothing really seems to line up perfectly. Tange 2? Vertical rear dropout? Wraparound seat stay? Mystery to me...
----- ----- ----- ----- -----

Road Bike - Classic - Higher End 55cm/22in Lugged Frame

Very nice classic vintage road bike.

I have been unable to identify this bike but it is definitely a very nice ride.

Specs:

Lightweight Frameset with windowed lugs, wrap around seat stays. Champion tubing and Chromed rear stays and Shimano dropouts (rear half of bike) Size 55cm - This is a rare size for a vintage road bike. Another clue that the bike is higher end. Only decal says "Professional" on top tube
Suntour Superbe Brakes
Shimano 600 Derailleurs and Indexed Shifters
Shimano 600 Headset
Super nice Avocet Crank with Drilled Spider. I've only found this crankset online as a triple. This double is rare.
Sugino Bottom Bracket
Sugino Seatpost

Currently the bike is shown with 27in wheels. If you want the bike without the cheap wheelset to add your own deduct $25

$225 Do Not Contact Me with lowball offers. I'm not interested. This is a super nice bike. If I knew what the bike was I'm sure it is worth more.

I will delete the ad when bike is sold. Do not only ask if the bike is still available. I will assume spam.

It doesn't matter what brand it is. If the fit is right and the condition is good, you should buy it. The Avocet crank indicates that its owner loved the bike, as it is an upgrade.

No idea. Definitely Japanese, higher end. Components alone are worth more than the asking price. That one's a no brainer.
