I really like resto-mods, and this one seems well thought out. But isn't the Campione d'Italia a relatively low end model? Seems odd to hang such high end parts on it...

Bianchi Campione d'Italia fully lugged steel with SRAM 10 speed
[h=2]Bianchi Campione d'Italia fully lugged steel with SRAM 10 speed - $999 (Natick)[/h]

condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Bianchi

I was recently hit by a car and my knee got blown up. No biking for a long time. Motivated to sell this.

55/56 Bianchi lugged steel frame, Campione d'Italia. Easton ea90sl wheels. Red crank and front shifter, force RD and rear shifter, rival FD. Zipp bars. 52/36 175 Red crank. 10 speed. I'm probably keeping the saddle pictured but I have a few other options available. Also have different stem options. No pedals or garmin mount. It could use new bar tape/ a re wrap. I'm not super good at it, but I will put in new tape or include it if you want.

I bought this frame and built it to be my B bike and my forever bike when I quit racing but I need something bigger (I'm 6-1 and as shown it works, but not ideal for my height). It is easily the best riding/smoothest bike I've ever owned. Steel is most definitely real. Held itself very well in a couple crits and a RR while my other bike had a warranty issue.

I've never heard of those before; I'll have to do some research on that. A friend of mine has one (and asked me if I knew anything about them) and I've seen another one up on CL here in CO that went for $400 or so. I doubt it is 'gold plated' like the pope's bike . It seems more similar to the 'gold chrome' you'd see on a AD Vent Noir II, but a little more goldish and without the 'smoked' look. A nice bike for sure but in that price range there are lots of other options as well.

Bike is almost 30 years old and has many thousands of miles on it. It has been hanging in our basement for almost 20 years. We're downsizing so it must go.

If it's fake, I don't get the impression the seller has any clue. I've been staring at it for 10 minutes and I'm confused. Did he/she just remove the cables and call it a one speed?!? Or is that a cable coming up from the downtube??? Gotta be number one brand for fakes, no? Also, I love the position of the shifters, ya know, since they've been rendered completely useless apparently. Still might be worth $100...

This listing has been deleted. I wonder if it sold or if the seller realized the price may be a tad........low.

The U Dei is incredible! I don't know much about bikes like this...is it spendy because the asking price is high or spendy because they're just valuable? I'm not sure if I'm expressing the question well. I love the bike though.

Great bikes.

I'll be in Bavaria next summer working on a house project with some relatives.

In my free time I will definitely be checking out all of my usual avenues for bikes like these.

My wife's extended family is very large and who knows how many bikes are just hanging on hooks over there.

That's how I found my Riv and Frejus town bike.

Spendy because the asking price is high. A Superleggera is not that rare.
