Vintage 1897 Tricycle Bike - $949 (Sandwich) < >

This is a vintage velocipede tricycle that was advertised in the 1897 Sears catalog. Is all original. Has original metal tag under the seat from Gendron Wheel Co in Toledo Ohio. It still has the original leather seat, original wooden handle grips and original pedals. Great rare tricycle that only a few exist. Don't miss out on this super rare piece in very good condition.

Dear bicycle deities, overlords of all torque wrenches and stuck seatposts: please let me get this super ugly salmon bicycle, so I can stop chasing after a terry version of it in the same size. Has six years not been enough?

Last edited by smoothness; 08-12-15 at 03:53 AM. Reason: chose the ugly picture.

Univega used those diamond lugs on at least the Speciallissima and Super Strada, two of their top end frames. The downtube braze ons are weird. Looks worth the $80 for sure.

Land Shark Road/Randonneur bicycle
[h=2]Land Shark Road/Randonneur bicycle - $1900 (Newton)[/h]

craigslist - Map data OpenStreetMap

(google map)

condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Land Shark

Frame size: small (48cm, center to center seat tube, 52cm top tube) Geometry is more compact, and this bike fits more like a 52-53cm seat tube. Fits someone 5'4" to 5'9". I'm 5'8", 30in inseam, and this bike fits me well.

Handmade (fillet brazed) steel frame by John Slawta of Land Shark (landsharkbicycles.com). S&S titanium frame couplings (Folding Travel Bikes using S and S Machine Bicycle Torque Couplings™) for travel. The frame includes brazeons for racks and fenders. This bike also comes with two forks: carbon for road riding, steel for touring -- both from Land Shark. Steel fork has brazeons for racks and fenders. This bike is in excellent condition, with many new parts -- including new wheels. A few chips in the paint here and there. New Land Shark bicycles start at $5,995 complete.

All components are top quality:
- Paul's Racer M (for Medium) brakes (Racer Medium from Paul Component Engineering)
- Cane Creek SCR-5 brake levers
- Chris King headset
- Thompson seat post
- Honjo fenders
- NOS Mavic Reflex SUP wheels, 700c. Mavic 501 front hub, Mavic 571 HG rear hub.
- Continental Ultra Gatorskin tires (700c X 25)
- Ritchey 6061 drop bars -- 44 center to center
- Brooks B17 Champion Special saddle
- Brooks leather bar wrap
- Sugino XD2 triple crank (172.5)
- Deore front and rear derailleurs
- Ultegra 8 speed bar end shifters
- IRD bottom bracket
- S&S travel bicycle case and frame tool
Compare this bicycle to a Rivendell Sam Hillborne -- but with a better frame and better components. This bike is smooth and responsive; excellent for long rides in the country. The S&S couplings work beautifully -- this bike travels well. Pedals and bottle cages not included.
Thanks for looking!

I think Suntour Symmetric mounts looked like that. I also seem to remember some odd-ball Shimano shifter mounting like that (AX?). If nothing else, it would complicate matters.

I'll vouch for this model, even though this price is $150 more than I paid for mine brand new.

I raced it for a year for a local shop and sold it to a friend who raced for the same shop for three years.

A really nice bike for the $$$.

I agree but it is the only one I have seen for sale.. at all (not the pro-tour 15) with the center pull brake braze-on. SO if you MUST have this particular and fairly rare bike....

I know someone on here was looking but this one is too small for him as I recall

This is a very classic and relatively rare French made Peugeot. One of their higher models of the time the frame and fork are Reynolds 531 steel. Components include Stronglight cranks, Simplex drivetrain, and Mafac Racer brakes with drilled levers. For anyone who really loves classic road bikes nothing beats a true Frenchie. This bike has all French parts on it. The finish is classic Peugeot with the French accent colors and earlier Peugeot font.

This bike has been tuned entirely here at the shop. We left the original cloth bar tape on for character, but otherwise it has been serviced completely. The tires are nearly new Continental tubulars.

51cm size is rather small suitable for someone in the 5'6" area.

Classic, collectible Peugeot.

1985 Pinarello Mod. Treviso Frame/Fork

[h=2]1985 Pinarello Mod. Treviso Frame/Fork - $165 (Bayside)[/h]

I am selling this mid 80's Pinarello frame/fork with matching serial number. These were the MOD. TREVISO frames that were sold new as a frame/fork set and you would build your own road bike. It has a few rust spots but it has not been wrecked and is straight. Pinarello drop outs, frame size 58cm center BB to center top tube, sized for a 6 foot tall cyclist. Rear drop out spacing is for 126mm wheel. Original Black Glass paint and fading decals. Frame/fork built from Columbus ST tubing. This road frame had 700c clincher wheels. Components are not included.

Very small Trek 660. Probably a 19" or 48cm frame. Pricing may be a bit optimistic depending on what components it has. 1 low quality photo.
