In this case the seller may be right about being rare, although a bit pricey.

I think this is a 21" 1987 Trek 560, which means a 531 frame and full Shimano 105.

Just bumped into this.

REDUCED CycleOps PowerTap SL with Fugi Finest Al | eBay $200

As far as I can tell, it needs the head unit for the Powertap, probably $50 to $100 or so.

Not the greatest power meter.
Not the greatest of bikes.

But put them together, and it is hard to beat $200.

All you have to do is pick the bike up in Seminole, Florida.

I tried to send a note to the seller asking about shipping, but no response.

It looks very SWEET!!!!
Considering the big tandem brands such as Burley can command a pretty penny, and even a regular vintage Colnago is pretty spendy, the price doesn't look that bad.

I love 80s Panasonics. Too bad it's not my size - that does look mint (minus handlebars/hoods). I had an 89 DX2000 that I have always regretted selling. Even though it was Tange Infinity tubing, it just rode and fit so well.

This one is my size and I like the more "calm" paint scheme compared to other Ironman bikes but I am at N-1 before N+1 can happen. Price may be a little ambitious for this area from my experience but it's OBO. I could check it out for far way folks but not until after the weekend.

Centurion Ironman Master - Classic vintage road bike

Selling a great Centurion ironman master, The bike has just been town down to the bare frame for a full service with all new cables, cable housings and fresh grease. The bike is ready to ride, needs nothing. All original and complete components (shimano 600) except for the upgraded titanium rail specialized saddle. The bike rides very well, with true rims and no rattles/noises etc. Super Smooth. The bike measures 58cm c-t so should fit riders from roughly 5'10"- 6' 2". I am asking for $375 obo

that is an 87 master - just like mine (replace yellow with teal). the really outrageous paint jobs came later. interesting that he changed out the small chainring but kept the large biopace. I wonder if that causes any problems... i guess it wouldn't?

it certainly looks a bit odd..

Rare doesn't always equal desireable...there's a reason you don't typically hear about people clamoring for italian tandems. Tandems are generally worth far less than you think for a variety of reasons...I think this falls under that umbrella.

Sure is easy on the eyes though.

Even if it was a flexi flyer it sure would be fun to tour around the local pathways/lakes with that Colnago.

No need to pack a single thing except for a camera, water and credit cards.

FWIW I see about one tandem every week around here. They are invariably Co-Motions or Santanas.

Sometimes an old Schwinn Twinn.

Not exactly sleek but the Co-Motions or Santanas likely could carry the owners to Mars with baggage if they were so determined.imho

If it were local and sized for us, I'd be tempted. C-Record tandem crankset? Insane.

I would as well, but Mrs. Gomango won't go for it.

Both of us want to steer.........

That Colnago could be an ultimate coffee shop attention grabber around here with a few tweaks here and there.

[h=2] Diamondback Prevail TG - $100 (San Carlos, CA)[/h]Diamondback Prevail TG

Diamondback Prevail TG.
It was pretty top of the line and retailed for $1200, back in the day ('93). Weights only 23lbs!
Still rode great last time I used it (well over a year ago) - which is why I'd like it to go to a new home where it'll get some use.

According to bicyclebluebook.com, it's worth about $175 in fair condition. Asking $100 OBO.

That is one of the few items on Craigslist that I've seen where the seller is willing to ship. How much is it to get one shipped across the country?

It is a fairly tall bike. The stoker seat looks pretty slammed as it is.

^ FWIW, Zinns tend to fly under the radar. He's been building for a long time and has a steady stream of customers. That said, his frames do not come up for sale very often.

Check with bike flights. Last time I looked it was under $100 which is amazing to me. Packing a tandem would be a MAJOR PITA. And the chances of picking up a tandem box at the LBS? Very slim. That means carefully constructing a tandem box yourself. Hours of work here.

Who puts craptastic plastic pedals on a Colnago????
