This one is way nicer and more $$ than the one I found a month ago. Still too big for me. I think it's a 62 or 63cm with the 8" head tube. I had one go through my hands too small 5 years ago in this color. Very nice paint. It's been on and off CL for a few weeks.

Up for grabs- 1986 Schwinn High Sierra MTB mountain bike- Bronze color, this bike was mainly a garage queen for many years. Still has original front tire & tires hold air well, came from Los Gatos Schwinn in California originally. Needs some minor adjustments & tlc, brakes & gears need adjusting, rear brake lever is cracked but still functions, would be best w new lever & cables but can be re-adjusted. I would like to see somebody tune this Awesome bike & ride it, it's time for this one to have a new home. its about 95+% Original as far as I know except for rear tire which has plenty of tread & the seat is a nice Selle Royal Ave. Gel w rubber dampening cushions. It also has a Blackburn USA frame mounted bottle holder.
Early High Sierra made for Schwinn by giant May 1986 has the G stamp in date code.
They don't make em' like this anymore exactly, durable solid bike- Alot of high quality Japan parts. SPECS-

If I were looking for one, I don't think I would pass this one up. Not a common color and in really nice cosmetic condition. The asking of $250 may put some folks off, but if the mechanicals are as good as the paint, might just need bearings serviced and new rubber and cables.

I bought this a few months from Bikes not Bombs but could not get comfortable on it due to its geometry. I ended up purchasing another bike so this one has to go. I have not even put a mile on this bike since I purchased it. Although the bike does not have the original veloce components, it is setup in a way the works flawlessly. Bar end shifters make it easier to shift. Smooth and strong ride.

With all the chatter about the new Bianchi L'eroica edition and price, its remarkable the number of sub- $1000 nice Italian classics available. This one is described as excellent condition.

1988 Schwinn Paramount with Dura Ace size 62 cm
1988 Schwinn Paramount with Dura Ace size 62 cm. This was a project bike and has been totally restored and is in mint condition and rides fantastic. The paint job cost $700. All Dura Ace parts are NOS or like new and are the 7400 series 7 speed. New Ritchey carbon fork.
