Ya' it is so cheap. But then again this bike is from the neighborhood where I picked up a 1980 Trek 710 for 45 bikes. It was all campy. People in jacksonville are super rich and don't seem to care what toys are worth. lol

1976 Eisentraut/Campagnolo Road Bike - $965 (Central Denver)
Date: 2010-02-06, 12:28PM MST
Reply to: sale-5wsyt-1589009842@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

I have for sale a 1976 Albert Eisentraut Limited Road Bike. This bicycle was built by Albert Eisentraut and Bruce Gordon using a mix of Columbus and Ishiwata tubing. It is equipped with Campagnolo Nuovo Record group of the same era. The bicycle is on the large side measuring 60 cm. from bottom bracket to the top of the top tube.

This is a complete bicycle and in near mint codition with some paint chipped from the tubing, but no damage to the tubes themselves. Please feel free to email me with any questions concerning the bicycle, its components, etc.

Thanks for looking....
Serious inquiries only please.

Rocky Mountain Touring Bike $750obo (South Boulder)

Date: 2010-02-06, 2:56PM MST
Reply to: sale-jnhfg-1589242700@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

I love my bikes and hate to sell them, but I'm finally realizing that it's just too small for me. It's about 2 years old now, used it for fully-loaded touring one summer. Smooth ride--there's a reason touring bikes should be made out of steel. The bike also is a great commuter as it has a very wide range of gearing, disc brakes, fenders and panier racks.

Specs:
57 cm Rocky Mountain steel touring frame
Avid BB7 road disc brakes
dura ace bar end shifters
topeak rear rack
front rack
ultegra triple crank (30 to 54 i think)
deore lx long reach derailleur (12-34)
thompson elite seat post
ergo handle bar
bomb proof wheels (extra spokes attached to frame)
lizard skin chain guard
bontrager water bottle cages
fenders

Might be a bit pricey for a $1000, 19 year old, 105 equipped bike that needs tires. But I think it does look pretty nice.

Fuji Roubaix - 1991 - steel road bike - $550

Selling my Land Shark Road Shark. Not sure of the year, my guess is mid 90's. If you don't know about John Slawta and Land Shark look here. https://landsharkbicycles.com/

It is a 56cm measured C to C on seat tube.
57mm C to C on top tube.
Prestige tubing
Wheels: Shimano 105 hubs and Mavic cxp 23 rims with Conti Ultra sport tires.
105 Rear derailleur 600 front clamp on derailleur.
3T Stem and Bars,
Dura ace headset and downtube shifters, Campy Athena cranks, and Campy brakes.
No seat or pedals sold with bike. I have some on it for test rides.

It has some paint chip marks from use, not perfect but nice.
Asking $750
Email me for higher res images.
Thanks.

In this market, IMO, it's still about $200 too high. If it had 105 brifters he might get close to the asking price.

Although I don't know what your market is like, I agree that the price is still too high. I'd think that he could probably sell it here if it was posted at $300.

Hmm, thinking about this or this:
https://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/bik/1590106742.html

https://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/bik/1590071551.html

These sizes are hard to find and I'm looking for something I can put fenders and a rack on. The rainy season is coming and I don't want to torture my 90 something Raleigh (first love) especially since it doesnt have space for fenders or a rack. Is there a big difference in the Varisty and Super Le Tour? This guy had the varsity for $125 and has since dropped it to the current $85 so maybe he'll do the same with the Super Le Tour which does look much nicer with its down tube shifting and supposed 24 pounds (is that total horse ****e?) What do you guys think?

Here's an interesting old American Lincoln path racer that somehow found its' way to the UK:

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vintage-Pre-Wa...#ht_500wt_1182

I've no connection to the sale, just saw it and thought it might be interesting for some of you to see.
It looks like it's straight out of a photo on Shorpy.

edit: I guess it's not a path racer, with a locking fork like that...

Joe,

This thread is for bringing light to a bike that is offered for sale that the posting member himself isn't interested in purchasing. For an appraisal of a bike you are interested in, it is best to post a new thread in the appraisals section at the top of the main C&V page.

I saw that too. If it were near me, I would have just asked where he was for $25. Even if the frame were mangled, you'd get that out of the components. Maybe he got too many responses and figured that it was worth more. .

Joe, don't buy that Varsity. It is not in good mechanical condition. The Super Le Tour looks decent.

I have a 56cm Eddy Merkx Corsa Extra "SLX" Team Domex from 1989 in almost new condition with a mix of Campy C-Record and Chorus components. It has been stored since around 1995 so is in great shape. If you're looking for a vintage steel ride, this is it. Asking $1000.00 obo
