I'm actively looking for a brifter'd Italian (or Belgian). Can the fine folks here keep an eye out on my behalf? My wish list:

- Prefer De Rosa, Colnago, or Eddy Merckx; would be willing to consider Ciocc, Gios, Pinarello, a couple others
- lugged frame (not TIG-welded), flat or sloping fork (i.e., anything but unicrown)
- 51-54cm (52-53 being the sweet spot)
- not red (already have a red bike, don't want another)
- 8-speed is okay; 9-speed would be better
- Campy, not Shimano (let alone Shimergo)
- <$1k budget, shipping inclusive. I am cost-sensitive these days, so the lower the number, the better. (That said, I am cognizant of opportunity cost and do not mind paying a little extra for the 'right' bike.)

I am picky, so please take no offense if I demur for even seemingly trivial or irrational reasons

This seems like a great deal. The frame isn't much to look at (though it is a Reynolds 531 Raleigh Competition), but for the asking price the parts list is nothing short of impressive.

Interesting bike listed on the Shopgoodwill site. Current bid is $14.99. If I lived near DC I would consider putting in a bid. For some reason they swapped out dt shifters for stem shifters. It looks like it has first generation 105 (Golden Arrow) rear derailleur.

Looks pretty messed up to me. Did someone spray paint the drivetrain black? Also, judging by the metal pie plate and the large gear cluster, the rear wheel is an early/mid eighties replacement on a late 80's bike.
