for sale: 58 cm 1969 peugeot px-10 concerted to single speed. this was peugeot's top of the line frame and has beutiful nervex lugs. the frame is in pretty great shape considering its age. has french bb and headset, both have minimal, to no, pitting. it handles very well, and the frame is stright, and is one of the most comfortable bikes ive had. has soma hellyer cranks, with a 46:15 gear ratio. front wheel is a campy hub to a mavic rim, that was recently built. rear wheel a ritchey wheel. brooks b.17 saddle that has been well maintained, kept dry, and proofided. all that is pictured comes with the bike. i would also like to sell the other pictured wheel with this bike. it is a sturmey-archur hub that has been converted to be fixed and freewheeled by selecting which you prefer to ride at the time by shifting. it functions well, but there is some backlash in the fixed mode. i would set it up on the bike for you, or could explain how to and will include all necessary parts. if you dont want the wheel i would sell the bike for less with out it. feel free to ask any questions regarding any part of the bike. thank you for looking, Alex, 541 488 9179 email will probably me more likely to reach me though http://www.flickr.com/photos/error099/4339026282/ Haha I was just looking at that guys flickr, and I play polo with him. :) I guess I shouldn't be surprised ashland is a small town. |
I don't know much about these, but anything in full chrome is usually good.....right?

Nice Paramount P-15 in central PA.
http://pennstate.craigslist.org/bik/1584651785.html Excellent vintage 1973 Schwinn Paramount Touring - $1050 (State College & Clearfield) Date: 2010-02-03, 5:16PM EST Reply to: sale-4y8r6-1584651785@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?] This is the Legendary Schwinn Paramount Touring ("P-15") model from 1973. These, of course, were made in the USA and were among the finest bicycles money could buy. Beautiful Nervex chrome lugs. This bike has several brand new, never used parts, and everything else is original. Some highlights include the Campagnolo Nuovo Record triple crankset; NEW Brooks B-17 special (beveled edge, large copper rivets, copper rails/bag loops) saddle; NEW Brooks leather bar tape finished with Hemp twine and shellac; NEW Panaracer Pasela tires; French Belleri city bars...the list goes on. This bike's original handlebars bars and brake levers are also included. This is a super nice example of one of the all time classic touring bikes--excellent original condition, with only minor nicks, and no dents anywhere. Specs: 57cm from the center of the bottom bracket to the center of the top tube. 57cm top tube. The standover height in this configuration is approx. 33.25". It is a large-ish frame. For reference, I am 5'11" and it fits great as pictured. It will fit riders little taller or shorter than me. Everything works super smoothly and quietly. Note: The pedals shown are not included. I can include some other pedals if you want them. I can email you better pics.

1970's Bottecchia/Campagnolo Roadie - $975 (Northern Wisconsin) http://madison.craigslist.org/bik/1592287444.html 1970's Bottecchia roadie. Campagnolo Nuovo Record derallieurs. Campy frame shifters. I updated to Super Record brake levers (then one with the holes that were so cool people used to drill their Nuovo to get the look... until they broke because the Supers weren't just drill outs). I have the original levers, too. Modolo hoods. Appropriate cloth bar tape (blue). 3ttt stem and drop bars. Original cable housings (blue) with NOS Campy housing clamps (like hens teeth) and old Campy cables. Brooks B-17 mens seat and a second Selle San Marco Rolls with funky textured surface that would be time appropriate, too. Beautiful Camy two ring crank and 5 speed rear. Original Mavic tubular rims (with new sew ups) on Maillard 700 hubs. Very cool! Italian made steel frame with chrome lugs, fork lowers and rear stays. Original white that I cleaned up but didn't mess with. Campy pedals with Christohpe toe clips. NOS leather straps clips straps (blue) . I twisted them underneath the way we did back when. Campy Brev. Inter. brakes with new pads (still health rubber) I scrounged up. Original Slica frame pump with pinwheel frame top mount. The chain is a new period correct Regina Record Oro Road with the way cool drilled-out side plates (the bees knees if you had one back then). Campy two bolt seatpost (made you pissed because it was counter-intuitive to adjust). Look at the pictures. I meet you part way now or deliver to Madison the next time I'm there. |

Has anyone ever seen one where the decals haven't dropped off? I just missed out on one a couple years ago for $350, though it had Universal brakes and was a little rougher. Still, I'd have enjoyed it for $350.
