Snicker....

I can't help but find the severe extended seatpost coupled with the tricycle wheels as hysterically funny. What is this, a pursuit bike for 90 year olds?

Trike racing = serious bidness. Woah! Looks like aero bars are legal.

Wow, speaking on cool Schwinn-looking bikes, a fillet brazed french frame!! I had no idea, I thought that was a unique to schwinn.

There is one in Alsace Lorraine that is my size.

Took me two years to find it.

Might be a bit of a stretch saying they were of the foremost touring bikes ever made, but regardless they were great bikes. I've been looking for one, more wanting a later 80's Tenax one, but unlike that one I haven;t found any great deals. There is a beautiful one on ebay, but a little to rich for me for a Voyager. I did offer, but he didn't take it.

Totally agree with you about Voyagers of this vintage - though Schwinn has certainly slapped that label on some seriously non-interesting bikes over the years.
The sport oriented Voyager 12.2 and the later 11.8 of the '70s and early '80s should not be confused with the touring-specific Voyager and Voyager SP of the mid-'80s with their triple cranks and cantilever brakes. Schwinn did indeed put that name on lots of different bikes and that naming continues to this day with that name on an aluminum-framed hybrid, much like Specialized and its Expedition name.

Kind of cool that the original owner still has the bill of sale and it seems to be in nice condition.

vintage ATB rarity. I'm guessing its older than the sellers description and probably circa 1987. Evolved from the BMX maker Bob Furry / Titan. Radical in its time. USA made. True Temper. Could be a fun build w/ Suntour, thumb shifts, bullmoose bars, big DiaCompe moto brake levers

There are people who for one reason or another, lack the ability to balance effectively.

must be a drag racing bike. trying to make corners in a trike is .. an adventure... to say the least. you need to point your head into the turn throw your butt out of the turn - (do NOT counter steer like on a 2 wheeled vehicle!!) slide and then pedal like mad to catch and propel you out of the turn. its hard work.

ever see that Top Gear episode with the Robins?

Circa '89 - 90. Team ADR 'replica'. No rad tubing but rather made for the be like Greg LeMond. Find a donor bike for parts and would make for a neat build. From ski apparel to dirt bikes, those colors were the hot thing in those years.
