If you're seriously interested I'm sure the seller would provide better photos. If it becomes a make-or-break issue I could probably be persuaded to drive the hour to verify the finish.

Also, if the stock bike had chrome socks and the paint was removed there would likely be a visible difference in the chrome finish at the sock transition area so ask for good photos of those areas.

1987 Centurion Ironman Expert - Tange 1 - Full 105 - 58cm

condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Centurio
model name / number: Ironman Expert
size / dimensions: 58cm

Super cool 1987 Centurion Ironman Expert for sale in the classic "Miami Vice" color scheme. The bike is a 58cm good for riders in the 5-10" - 6-1" range.

The bike is 100% original except for the new bar tape the 700x28 Specialized Armadillo's great for city and/or cold weather riding. These tires are as bomb proof as they come and have tons of life left.

Otherwise the original 105 group including the front/rear derailleurs, brake levers and calipers, headset, shifters, hubs, crank and pedals are all in great shape. The Wolber Super Champion Alpine wheels are true and in excellent condition, as is the Nitto bar and stem. The seat post and Selle Italia saddle are also original.

The bike is super clean and the paint and logos are in very nice shape. A few small nicks here and there but the yellow/pink-purple paint really shines brightly. The Tange 1 steel is light, smooth and of very high quality. The bike really looks awesome and is as 80's as it gets in the vintage bike world!

The bike is a 6-speed index rear/friction front and rides nicely. It hasn't had a tune in some time but really doesn't need anything. Not even new cables.

Happy to meet to check it out and purchase for cash only. Thanks for looking.

It does need the little knurled knob on the left dropout adjuster screw. Knock a hundred off the price!

hah, the only thing I see is a bottle cage and stem. If a Saeco livery suits you, I do know a LBS that has a 58cm - frame, fork, DA headset, DA bb, DA crank for $250. Haven't seen it in a year but last looked was near perfect. Owner has been shuffling and rearranging the store but quite sure its just stashed away.

An interesting Bruce Gordon. Why would you professionally repaint a bike but not the fork? As you would expect it does have some very cool lugs.

I don't know if this will make Bruce happy but here it is...

Not exactly C&V (well, it is steel and has an Italian name, though notice I didn't say the company was Italian ), but this looks like an excellent deal.

Vintage Raleigh Road Bike Collection

The seller has eight on the block. He's listed individual prices, but also $1000 for all eight.

1987 Schwinn Prologue with Dura Ace crank set & Shimano 600 breaks and shifters
not sure of size- I am 5'8" and it's a little too big for me (my reach is stretched out)

Original Selle Italia seat with wear through vinyl but foam in excellent condition. You could refurbish with some nice leather- (Cover your worn bicycle saddle with real leather)

Some rust on steel body, definitely needs some TLC but has GREAT potential.

Brand new rear wheel
Continental Gatorskin tires
Was just tuned up by Bikes not Bombs

Selling with the Look pedals. Asking $350 or make a reasonable offerpost id: 5285967252

Great deal on a great bike.

If it were here I would be looking at it right now to see if it would fit.

Indeed. And it would be if I was back home. It may last a while since it is kind of in between Orange County and San Diego. Off the beaten path perhaps.
Edit.. I noticed the ad says San Marcos. I recall there is a shop there that sells fine bicycles, Tommasini etc so maybe it's a hot hub for cycling.
