Edit.. I noticed the ad says San Marcos. I recall there is a shop there that sells fine bicycles, Tommasini etc so maybe it's a hot hub for cycling.
Friends of mine used to live in Leucadia and now live in Oceanside. I'd have them buy this if it were my size.

Vintage Motobecane Grand Record - Custom - Campagnolo Super Record Triple

[h=2]Vintage Motobecane Grand Record - Custom - Campagnolo Super Record Triple - $995 (Lowell)[/h]

56cm.

This is a very special bicycle. Our latest custom build / restoration project. I haven't nailed down the year but it's a late 70-something.

The bike was originally a custom project about ten years ago, after which it bounced around between a few dealers and we eventually received it. Sadly in some disrepair, but with a lot of potential. The frame was custom painted by the very reputable Joe Bell in California, one of the very best in bicycle painting. It also received a professional top tube internal brake cable routing modification at that time.

The paint job and lettering are absolutely stunning despite a few nicks in that ten years. Amazing detail work around the lugs, Gold lettering and pin striping, with all of the most appropriate Campagnolo and Reynolds 531 labeling. Full 531 frame and fork.

If that weren't enough the bike is dressed with the best of Campagnolo. The drivetrain is the virtually non-existent Super Record Triple. As far as I know these triple parts were taken from the stock used for tandem bikes. Not produced for regular road applications. The brakes are Campagnolo Super Record Cobalto with drilled levers. Super Record aero seatpost. White leather Concor saddle. Brand New vintage Suntour freewheel. The wheels are hand laced Campy Super Record/ Mavic GP4 tubulars with BRAND NEW Continental tubulars. There is even a brand new tubular spare tire included with the bike.

The cockpit has been redone with a new, vintage style shallow drop bar from Velo Orange for a more modern fit.

I have personally ridden the bike for a few medium length rides and it's exceptional. The only flaws are a couple of notable blemishes to the finish, but that finish still shines predominantly and represents some of the finest custom bicycle finishing.

One-of-a-kind.

Neat frame.

60cm contini

[h=2]60cm contini - $500 (union square)[/h]

very nice frame with a classy cinelli lugset and shaped gilco top and down tubes. the bike is set up for around town use with a 1x9 trigger shift, ultegra brakes, 105 front and rear der (front is not hooked up currently) mavic wheelset, flite saddle and some other random but decent parts to round it out. i'm selling this as a complete and ridable bike but i think the best thing for someone to do is convert it back to a drop bar road bike, i probably have some spares to help make that happen if you're interested.

That's the ugliest paint job I've ever seen on a Masi. Must have been a team bike.

Yes, that Masi wouldn't suit my taste, for sure. Google Masi Team 3V and you can read the story. Apparently the "sponsors" paid up front, which allowed the frame to sell for several hundred less than otherwise. I think there were at least a couple of different colors, maybe a one year deal.

I found this Bianchi Sport SX in LA. It looks good and the price is not too high. Seems like it could be a good deal.

What I think is a XO-4 without the usual Twin Cities Bridgestone markup.

[h=2]Bridgestone Road Bike - $50 (Champlin, MN)[/h]Bridgestone Road Bike

I have an old bridgestone road bike for sale. Shimano drive train, Breaks in good condition and the tires still have life in them all it needs is a rear derailer and front tube. I could get both items on discount if interested please send me an email

Holdsworth Mistral 531 road bike w/ 56cm frame for 5'10" - 6'1"
[h=2]Holdsworth Mistral 531 road bike w/ 56cm frame for 5'10" - 6'1" - $495 (Delivery to Cambridge Area or Lexington)[/h]

condition: Just tuned up / Ready to ride!
If you know the name Holdsworth, then you know the relative scarcity and the quality that a hand built frame in Reynolds 531 tubing brings!

This bike has just been tuned up by a bike mechanic to be sure everything works as it should -- brakes, gears, tires, etc! Campagnolo record hubs to Mavic rims, Suntour superbe brake calipers and other goodies make this a great rider.

The 22" (56/57cm) frame will fit riders 5'10" to 6'1" give or take an inch or so depending on leg length and riding style

12-speeds

Ready to ride as is with no repairs needed

Available to deliver to the Cambridge area late afternoon / evening.

Also available at Curious Velo, a vintage bicycle shop, specializing in English three speeds from the 1930's through the 1970's, classic lightweights and city bikes for commuting. Other bicycles dating back to the turn of last century and beyond. Also carrying vintage parts, vintage bicycle clothing, books and ephemera. On the Minuteman bike path just over the Arlington border into Lexington. At 97 Rear Mass Ave, Lexington. Plenty of parking in car park and on the Bus line.

Check out the website at {I am** Curious Velo

Call or text me at 617-792-1970 to set a time to see and test ride the bike. Please refer the Holdsworth road bike ... Thank you!

1980 Serotta Nova 57cm 60cm

[h=2]980 Serotta Nova 57cm 60cm - $800 (NH)[/h]

condition: good

do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers
Good condition Serotta Nova lugged steel road frame & fork with Dura-Ace headset, 60cm ctc seat tube and 57cm ctc top tube. It is from the early 1980s, Columbus SL tubing, Cinelli BB shell and Campagnolo drop outs. It has a Serotta factory repaint from some time in the 90s. It is rust free, has no dents and the paint is in fair shape - it has plenty of character and would love another factory repaint someday. A really high quality classic road racing frame from a Premier builder at that time. Looks great and rides even better. 126mm rear spacing, English threaded BB, 27.2 diameter seatpost. 60cm seat tube but rides smaller due to the 57cm top tube. In effect, it's more of a 57.

Bike is spec'd with an assortment of parts to make it rideable and enjoyable, not just an attempt at slapping period parts together. I bought the bare frame and built it last year, putting 300 fair weather miles on it before putting it away. I have way too many bikes and it's on the small side for me (I'm 6'2") so off to a deserving new owner.

Wheels/Tires: Mavic MA40 CD. 32h Shimano 600 tricolor hubset. Tires are Specialized All Condition 25mm. Wheelset and tires are in excellent condition and straight.

Saddle: Black/white Specialized Romin 143mm, steel rails

Bar/Stem: Period appropriate Scott branded TTT 130mm quill stem and 42cm handlebars

Bar tape: Fizik white 2mm Superlight Microtex bar tape

Seatpost: Dura Ace 7400

Brakes and Derailleurs: Ultegra 6500

Shifters: Dura Ace SL-7700

Levers: SRAM S500

Crank: Ultegra 6650 50x34 Compact 175mm, ice grey

Chain/Cassette: Dura Ace/Ultegra 12-25
