Thank you both! It does have the remains of a top mount shifter boss under that cable clamp.
Looking over the "Univega appreciation" thread, the color looks original... Is it possible this isn't a repaint but just decals removed? The sticker remains on the bb shell look original?
Also, to those who pm'ed - i only have 35 posts so cannot respond,sorry.

If you're able to ship it, this would fit my girlfriend nicely. If not, no worries.

@ jet sanchEz - There are a few interested parties coming to look at it today, and honestly I hate shipping complete bikes. If it doesn't sell, I will probably part it out on ebay (original plan). If that happens, and you still want the frame and fork I will ship that to you for next to nothing (plus shipping cost). Will let you know. Thanks

Had a few emails exchanged with the seller. It's 57 top tube, 56 seat tube center to center.

I want it but can't get out there without changing arrangements elsewhere for the next few days. It's also spendy. See what happens I guess. The ad is making the rounds now and it's coveted enough so who knows.

Somebody should grab this 21" Dawes frame, just dropped from $125 to 100 even. I'd love to get it but it's just not gonna happen as I just bought a Trek 950, and had to convince my wife I'd get rid of one of my other bikes just to do that. Telling her I want to get a frame, that will obviously one day become yet another bike wouldnt be healthy for me, lol.

Dawes imperial frameset plus extras 21 inch, Reynolds 531c

I don't think it's that far off.

If the bike fits you and you are hankering for one, buy it now.

Overspending by a couple of bucks if you end up owning and enjoying it for the next 25 years is no big deal.

I overspent recently on a French bike that I am picking up next summer, but it's something I have wanted since I saw one in Alsace-Lorraine 25 years ago.

I won't wait any more.

[h=2]Bicycle frame jig - $750 (Braintree)[/h]

do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers
Hi,
Selling one bicycle frame building jig. Built by Paul Carson who is no longer building tooling. He originally sold these for $1500. Has engraving for tube lengths but not angles. Good for both brazing and tig welding.Only issue is one caster wheel could be replaced, but not an issue unless you need to move it a lot. Asking $750 or BRO.
thanks.

$500? These things have gone up that much? Makes me wonder what my 660 is worth with all Superbe components.

Colors are kind of weird but that is a very nice bike for not a whole lot of money assuming it's all original; problem is where will the bidding stop and the add on the cost of shipping will exceed the value of the bike.

it would seem I could get this on the doorstep in Houston for right around $250. Given the number of people on this forum that rave about Centurion, can I assume this Dave Scott model is a good one and that this deal is as well?

Price is good, colors are generally considered desirable, and the groupset is bulletproof. However, based on the pictures, this particular bike will probably require some investment.

Brake hoods are gone and are not available anywhere, so figure $40-ish for a new pair of decent levers. Looks generally grimy which isn't hard to fix but may indicate a general lack of maintenance- especially in the important and expensive bearing areas like headset, BB and hubs. Not original seatpost and no pics of drive side, so components could be in, well, any condition.

It would be pretty easy to drop another couple hundred on it in parts (e.g. decent tires/tubes, saddle bar wrap, brake pads), but then you'd have a really good bike, and an Ironman to boot.

Thanks for the feedback. I can handle all the cleaning and overhauling so parts replacement the real concern. Nice eye on the seatpost. After taking a closer look, it looks like the wheels are mismatched which is a pet peeve of mine. I have plenty of spare parts to make it right as long as the bike is worth it. Not sure I'm as excited about $250 when considering how many parts I may need to put on it.

I have a meassage into the seller verifying size. Looks like a 57-58 to me which may be too small. We'll see...

Sweet!! Bianchi

[h=2]Bianchi - $470[/h]
What a find! I have an '83 Bianchi campaign d'italia in fantastic condition. It looks like the bike spent most of its life on a trainer. The paint is excellent. Tune it throw on some tubular tires and ride classic steel. Campy Record and Omega mix. It all appears to be original. 22" frame is too small for me. These Bianchis do not come around often and in this shape it may be a once in a lifetime chance to own a classic Bianchi. Call or text only: eig.ht4sev./en27six/fiv.e8seven/8

Not exotic, but a nice mixte all dressed up.

Peugeot Record Du Monde Vintage Original Conditon! Garage Kept

Peugeot Record Du Monde Vintage Original Conditon! Garage Kept - $150 (Woodbridge, Virginia)

condition: good

Up for grabs is a Classic Vintage Peugeot Record Du Monde Bicycle in Original Condition. Color is a Royal Blue. 21" from the seat to the crank. 10 Speed. Peugeot Saddle. Peugeot Derailleur. Gears work perfect. Rims have a checkered pattern. Kinda gives it a classy look. Bell. Includes rack. It does need new tires (can't read the size maybe 700C x 32 - thin like a road bike) and a cover for the front light. Otherwise you have found a really gem!!! Owners Manual Included. Great touring bicycle. If you are interested, please email and include a phone number. If there is not phone number then your email will be deleted. It is still available and the ad will be deleted once it is sold. No scammers or lowballers. Thanks for looking

A little steep, but hard to find in this condition. I'll bet he bought the complete bike and sold off the Campy stuff.
