I am pretty sure this is a 1982 Voyageur SP, sans front and rear racks. If so it's likely a good deal for a full touring rig. Though the fork angle looks a little funny...

Vintage Motobecane Super Mirage - $50 (Madison)

I'm moving out of the country soon, so am selling my project bike. This is a really comfortable early 80's French touring bike with a 22" or 23" downtube, and a 20" top tub in very good condition (see pictures). The bike has a brand new back tire (700 mm), but is going to need some new tubes, and possible a new front tire. It has been stored indoors for as long as I've had it, and only has a tiny bit on some of the wheels. With a little tuning this bike will be ready for the spring. With a little more TLC, the bike would make a really cool fixie.

Drop me an email if you're interested, and thanks for looking.

No luck...she sold it. I maybe shouldn't have tried to get it for the $25 she was asking and offered $100 or something. Here's the pic she sent.

Looked mighty fine...I bet someone got the deal of the year.

Sorry you didn't get the Prologue.

On a brighter note, you'll probably get the chance to buy it again when it pops up next month for $400.

Why do people do that....?

What looks to be a promising Miyata 610 frame for $40

https://wichita.craigslist.org/bik/1600684280.html

But then you find that "things" have been cut off...

Oh well, anyone want to build a single speed in wichita?

When I see a really great deal being offered on Craigslist, I
e-mail right away with a much higher offer than what the seller
is asking, especially when the bike is worth 14 times the asking
price. Example : The seller wants $25.00, you know the bike
is worth $400.00, so you offer $150.00 and then go look at it.
If the bike is not what you expected, and since you are the first
there, you now have the option to bargain down. Remember,
the seller only wanted $25.00. You are holding the cards.

Now this only applies unless another CV'r hasn't offered even
more money *lol* You have to be very pro-active if you want
to be sucessful in todays C&V market. You have to pay up
and not cheap out.

Cycling season is around the corner, Cannondale road bike ready to ride and priced to sell only $85.00 spare tire included. This is a 12 speed bike with twin chain rings up front and 6 speed cassette at the rear. Simple and easy to maintain, I have had many trouble free years of riding, it's time for a new cyclist to enjoy this classic. What you see is what you get along with spare tire. Serious inquirerers may call 717-695-0223

If you really want it. In all cases, I'm usually able to find & negotiate a better deal if I don't really care if I get whatever it is. The only thing about offering more I wonder if it comes across sounding like some sort of CL scam. And, you've gotta assume that someone selling a $400 bike for $25 may not be the most sophisticated seller.

Just missed out on a $69 Cannondale with aerobars. I'm sure i'll see it again from one of the other guys that seem to know nothing about bikes and have high listing prices locally.

If you are looking for a 56cm Ironman there is a red and white one here:
https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/bik/1600816057.html

Seller never takes good photos and never seems to know all that much about bikes.
Lists a lot though, and never even dusts them off.

That guys name is Carlos, and I got a Nishiki Prestige off of him for $80. He has a lot of really trashed bikes at his place. That Ironman was previously listed for about half of that on Feb 12, and he must have bought it and just relisted it. It has Shimano 105 all over it instead of the 600 stuff. I sent the link on to Robbie Tunes who decided to pass.
